[Bug 1969637] Re: lookup table appears bottom left of application
Hi Gunnar, thank you for your testing! It is my current analysis: It must be caused by bottom two commits. https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-settings-daemon/-/commit/e2d268eb00f06f497b2f62ae9f3b6e7e1fe4bd9e https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-settings-daemon/-/commit/c8981ef0b1e915e89c79e301080541baef0f9fa9 $ gsettings get org.gnome.desktop.interface gtk-im-module '' $ gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface gtk-im-module 'ibus' This command works as expected immediately. But according to commit messages, it is not intended for GNOME 42. [Bug 1439006] Re: Install Fcitx for Japanese users
@aron, yes, it is true that Mozc conversion engine is the *best* for Japanese input. I always use Mozc instead of Anthy. Mozc is default conversion engine on Ubuntu Japanese Remix which is our team is released. Anthy is stopped to develop for a long time. But I think it is hard to pass MIR because Mozc has a lot of dependency. http://packages.ubuntu.com/source/wily/mozc So I think libkkc is *better* than Anthy and it is not difficult to pass MIR rather than Mozc. http://packages.ubuntu.com/source/wily/libkkc fcitx-kkc is now in menters.debian.net as you know. https://mentors.debian.net/package/fcitx-kkc Thanks, -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1439006 Title: Install Fcitx for Japanese users To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/im-config/+bug/1439006/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1439006] Re: [FFe] Install Fcitx for Japanese users
