[Bug 1847832] [NEW] Backport ZoL pull request 9203 into the official packages.
Public bug reported: Hopefully this is the correct bug tracker to report this on. Recently, I ran into a bug in ZFS as shipped in Ubuntu 19.10 that caused the kernel to deadlock and the system to eventually hang. I was advised by a ZFS on Linux project maintainer that this was a bug that was fixed in 0.8.2. [Bug 342096] Re: SD Card containing /home corrupted on resume
This was still a problem in 13.10. It started ok, but then stared happening on 13.10. I'd done a fake-pae install on an X40 so can't comment on previous versions. It was magically 'fixed' when I upgraded to 14.04. but it just resurfaced :/ Suspend by shutting the lid or low power and when I resume, the system has lost track of the original mount and asks me if I want to view in file manager, as with removeable storage. This is a 5 year old bug, a lot of people with old notebooks boost the storage with SD cards, it would be very nice if we could rely on them. Mine is now mounted on /home/username/sd. [Bug 1374761] Re: After do-release-upgrade 13.10-14.04 desktop keybindings lost
It's broken again. Prior to my last comment, I changed the keyboard to pc-104, which seemed to fix the alt key. It broke some other keys, so I tried some more keyboards, none of them seem to work with alt. Now pc-104 doesn't work with alt either? Alt-T produces a ŧ in most of them similar characters with other combincations. None of the Alt keybindings work. I tried apt-get purge ibus as suggested in another possibly related bug, although I'd already fixed the US keyboard issue in settings. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ibus/+bug/1284635 keyboard has been perfect until 14.04 upgrade. 14.04 installed a quite a few packages during the upgrade, many of them applications such as Pidgin and Transmission as well as system type programs I did not previously have. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1374761 Title: After do-release-upgrade 13.10-14.04 desktop keybindings lost To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-release-upgrader/+bug/1374761/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hello and thanks Seth, I can't uoad the rfkill as my laptop overheated and am currently writing this on my blackberry. But when I did do the rfkill it said the same thing as last time (stated above). I also tried the work around and after following your instructions my wireless card was picking up networks but wouldn't connect to them. Then we done disabled the network and turned it back on and it came up with disabled by hardware switch. And haven't been able to get it to search for networks again. network-manager start/stop and kernel driver load/unload tested (syslog) hardware button tested (syslog1) rfkill checked (command 1) Also, tried full instructions at Hotkeys/Troubleshooting in case it was the Hardware button itself. It was tested with udev and acpi_listen and there is no event for the button, so could be that the kernel is not initiating an event to NetworkManager or X to kick the wifi in. Could try wpa_supplicant but need instructions on how to do this - any simple instructions welcome (WEP 64 hex key), i.e. how to kick it to connect manually, although I don't know the commands. udev tested as per Hotkeys/Troubleshooting - no events for button Mainline kernel amd64 v3.0-rc7 tested too, no change in the situation. ~ Tested by xteejx directly ** Attachment added: command 1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/816145/+attachment/2232374/+files/command%201 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/816145 Title: Atheros AR5001 wireless card wireless is disabled by hardware switch To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/816145/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 794862] Re: Rhythmbox should exit on clicking X
Thankyou for replying. If I'm playing a tune and select X Rhythmbox closes but the tune is still playing. Never used to do that before the update. And I can't seem to be able to do anything but re-open the program and select quit. Really annoying. I have not got any plug ins enabled. Re: [Bug 74454] [network-admin] net-mgr doesn't remember location
Pedro-- The network manager interface has changed so much since Dapper, I don't have any idea if this is still a problem. [Bug 591243] Re: CD and DVD media fail to mount
Okay, I burned a copy of the latest 10.10 ISO and ran it as a live CD. While operating under that environment, I was able to insert a CD into my secondary CD/DVD drive and have it recognized perfectly. I could play music off the CD, and it worked just like it should. Ejected and re-inserted the music CD several times and it worked great. So whatever you guys have changed in 10.10 seems to fix this issue. I went back into 10.04 and ran the command requested for debug info. I also installed what I think is the latest upstream kernel, but I really wasn't clear on the instructions so I'm not sure if I did that correctly. I downloaded the most recent image under the Lucid directory (2.6.32-0206321505-generic_i386.deb) and installed it, then rebooted under that and the problem persisted without changes. ** Tags removed: needs-upstream-testing -- CD and DVD media fail to mount https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/591243 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 495953] Re: needs update
I'm sorry, but I don't understand the logic here. Nuvexport is part of mythtv, so the latest nuvexport is version 0.22 just like the rest of mythtv. But the version of nuvexport in the current release of Ubuntu is version 0.21. Presumably, someone builds the latest mythtv binaries from source to include in Ubuntu and could just as easily build the latest version of nuvexport the same way. Based on that assumption, I don't understand this statement: We just don't have the resources to be able to maintain this package among all the others; especially without upstream doing releases of nuvexport. What else is involved in maintaining the nuvexport package other than running make from the nuvexport directory in the source tree? -- needs update https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/495953 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 221488] Re: unknown video plays in slow motion in full screen
Yup. I've had this problem ever since upgrading to 8.04 on my main desktop. I recently bought an Asus Eee PC 1000 and discarded the stock Xandros OS in favor of Ubuntu (8.04.1). Same problem: agonizingly slow video. Based on feedback here I switched all of the sound preferences from Autodetect to ALSA, and the problem just disappeared. I just found out about this fix and have only tried it on the Eee PC, but I expect it will solve the problem on the desktop as well. -- unknown video plays in slow motion in full screen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/221488 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
