Note that LibreOffice Vanilla appears to diplay the dialog correctly,
whereas LO7001rc and my test on 7100alpha, do not display the dialog
correctly.

[Bug 1802208]

2019-06-12 Thread Iplaw67-h
Would this bug also affect use of Oracle OpenJDK 12 when trying to call
an external hsqldb.jar, e.g. when a user has what is known as a split
database (no embedded hsqldb) ? If so, then it would be a regression for
those users.

[Bug 1478258]

2015-08-04 Thread Iplaw67
@Rolf: I suspect that this might be inherited from OOo3, but to be
honest I can't remember whether it was already automatic by default or
not in those versions.

However, my own personal take on it is that, yes, the UI should really
jump to the first control in the form defined by the tab position. As
I'm not a developer, I don't know whether this has always been so, or
even how much effort it would require to fix (or even if any Base
developers see it as worthwhile fixing).

Pending comments from any devs, I'll set this to enhancement.

[Bug 1478258]

2015-07-28 Thread Iplaw67
@Rolf: in your test db, both of your form controls for text data entry
are set to zero as the activation value.

However, even if I set the first text field control to 0 and the second
text field control to 1, save and re-open in data entry mode, I can
confirm that the cursor does not automatically appear in the first
field.

[Bug 1478258]

2015-07-28 Thread Iplaw67
For me this is WFM and I will close it. If the problem is specific to
the Ubuntu version of LibreOffice you're using, then only they can fix
it.

Try upgrading to a more recent release of LO, LO 4.2.x is already EOL
for TDF produced builds, in case it is linked to that particular version
distributed by Ubuntu.

Set the first control activation sequence to 1
Set the second control activation sequence to 2
Then activate Automatic focus in form (form design toolbar)

Save form, then it works.

The first two don't work, saying that no address book directory is available.
As this is very well possible (I don't use any of these programs), this does

(In reply to comment #9)
 @ Alex
 Greetings
Please, give advice to us here. See previous comment

Hi ALL,

Ten years ago, this probably wouldn't have been high on many people's
agendas. However, things have moved on, and caselaw has come in most
countries, certainly those where LO is already used quite widely, where
such use of trademarks could be considered to be problematic :

- under the meta-tag, or Google Adwords doctrine approach, which has
most notably been important in Europe ;

- under various trademark dilution doctrines ;

- actions tending to cause a mark to become generic despite the TM
owner's indications/attempts to dissuade that (note that the MS page
pointed to by Bjoern takes particular pains to tell users how to use the
mark in order to avoid this problem, even though it may not be
specifically mentioned).

So, my personal take on this would be to leave well alone and not use
them.
