Public bug reported: Binary package hint: cups When I request a print in Document Viewer, I get Failed to print document :Can't prompt for authorization and no print job is queued. When I request a print from firefox, I get no print job queued, but it is silent. When I request a print from Evolution, I get Error printing : Too many failed attempt, and no queued job. The current hardware is a medion 2120. The Gateway should work perfectly with Ubuntu. You may have wireless networking problems though. I did with my medion (otherwise absolutely perfect). To get around the wireless connection problem, use a PC card wireless adapter TP link ones generally work out of the box with Ubuntu 7.10 and up.
