[Bug 1843910] [NEW] cannot add public (unauthenticated) web ics calendar
Public bug reported: I am trying to import a public agenda in Gnome Calendar, for instance : https://indico.math.cnrs.fr/export/categ/180.ics?from=-31d When adding this URL in the Gnome Calendar settings, I am asked for credentials which should not be needed (wget or Firefox download the ics file just fine without them). In fact, the same problem seems to have been already reported here : https://askubuntu.com/questions/1100027/gnome-calendar-asks-credentials-for-public-ical Someone suggests to use evolution as a workaround, but IMO this is still a bug of Gnome Calendar which is the default calendar for Ubuntu 18.04... [Bug 1365935] [NEW] BrowsePoll directive stopped working after 12.04 - 14.04 upgrade
Public bug reported: Hi, I just upgraded my system from Ubuntu 12.04 to 14.04.1, which broke printing. Previously I had a directive BrowsePoll printserver in my cupsd.conf, where printserver is the CUPS server managed by my IT staff : this way I could use both the printing queues managed by them, as well as my locally created queues. The upgrade has silently modified the CUPS configuration and the BrowsePoll directive has been moved to a cups-browsed.conf file. However it does seem to be taken into account, I can see some shared printers on the local network, and my locally created ones, but not those from printserver. Is there a fix ? Thanks, Jérémie ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04 Package: cups 1.7.2-0ubuntu1.1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.13.0-35.62-generic 3.13.11.6 Uname: Linux 3.13.0-35-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia ApportVersion: 2.14.1-0ubuntu3.3 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: Unity Date: Fri Sep 5 11:54:10 2014 EcryptfsInUse: Yes InstallationDate: Installed on 2010-04-21 (1597 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx - Beta amd64 (20100406) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=fr_FR PATH=(custom, no user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=set LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/zsh ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-3.13.0-35-generic root=/dev/mapper/hostname-root ro quiet splash SourcePackage: cups UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to trusty on 2014-09-04 (0 days ago) dmi.bios.date: 02/01/2010 dmi.bios.vendor: LENOVO dmi.bios.version: 5CKT61AUS dmi.board.name: LENOVO dmi.chassis.vendor: LENOVO dmi.chassis.version: NONE dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnLENOVO:bvr5CKT61AUS:bd02/01/2010:svnLENOVO:pn7484WSV:pvrThinkCentreM58p:rvnLENOVO:rnLENOVO:rvrNONE:cvnLENOVO:ct3:cvrNONE: dmi.product.name: 7484WSV dmi.product.version: ThinkCentre M58p dmi.sys.vendor: LENOVO modified.conffile..etc.default.cups: # Cups configure options # LOAD_LP_MODULE: enable/disable to load lp parallel printer driver module # LOAD_LP_MODULE has migrated to /etc/modules-load.d/cups-filters.conf # LOAD_LP_MODULE=yes mtime.conffile..etc.apparmor.d.usr.sbin.cupsd: 2014-07-18T22:55:54 mtime.conffile..etc.cups.cups.files.conf: 2014-07-18T22:55:37 mtime.conffile..etc.cups.cupsd.conf: 2014-09-05T11:52:52.380218 mtime.conffile..etc.default.cups: 2014-09-04T11:37:30.712203 mtime.conffile..etc.init.cups.conf: 2014-07-18T22:55:53 ** Affects: cups (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug trusty -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1365935 Title: BrowsePoll directive stopped working after 12.04 - 14.04 upgrade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups/+bug/1365935/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1365935] Re: BrowsePoll directive stopped working after 12.04 - 14.04 upgrade
So you have to move your BrowsePoll directives into /etc/cups/cups- browsed.conf As I said, this has already been done by some upgrade script. [Bug 899071] Re: All icons appears as a simple retangle in the Nautilus
I believe that I am affected by the same bug (on a fresh install of 11.10 with Unity). Symptom : instead of the standard theme (as in the screenshot of comment #5), Nautilus displays a blank theme (as in the screenshot of comment #3). I could not reproduce the bug in a deterministic manner. When I observe it, it is typically right after I boot my system and I open Nautilus e.g. by clicking on the Home Folder button in the launcher. The bug may then disappear (or not) on the next boot (a killall nautilus as suggested in comment #7 also seems to make the bug disappear). I observed the bug perhaps 5 times over the last 25 boots since I first observed it in December. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/899071 Title: All icons appears as a simple retangle in the Nautilus To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/899071/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
