[Bug 548747] Re: Printing to a Lexmark network E120N is very slow

2010-07-15 Thread Jørgen Tellnes
I have the same problem. When the printer is this slow, it is
practically useless. I changed the printer settings to use the attached
ppd file instead (found here:
http://www.murrayc.com/blog/permalink/2007/01/10/new-printer-lexmark-
e120n/#comment-12556), and that both fixes the slowness as well as makes
printed graphics look a lot better.

I can now print a form containing a barcode, and the lines in the
barcode stays perfectly sharp and legible. With the default
(foomatic/pxlmono), the barcode is full of jagged edges and blurriness.

[Bug 363582] Re: Unredirect Fullscreen Windows -compiz- makes my full screen applications ginger up

2009-05-09 Thread Jørgen Tellnes
I can confirm this in 9.04 using the fglrx driver. When setting VLC to
full screen, the video locks up (the sound keeps playing) for a second
or two. When notify-osd appears, the background is shown for a little
while, and the video locks up. The same thing happens when minimizing
from full screen to normal windowed mode.

** Changed in: compiz (Ubuntu)
   Status: New => Confirmed

[Bug 136587] Re: [Feisty] vlc crashes on startup

2008-08-20 Thread Jørgen Tellnes
I can verify that this also happens on my Hardy box, running
2.6.24-21-generic (x86_64). The factors that seem to trigger this is
using the proprietary ATI driver, and using VLCs opengl output module.
Use any other, and it'll load up fine but will give me horrible tearing
issues. Is this an issue with VLC, or with fglrx?

[Bug 34831] Re: Hardlock of entire system (Dapper Flight 5)

2008-08-11 Thread Jørgen Tellnes
Leann: As this is my day-to-day computer, I don't have the opportunity
to test Intrepid on it until Intrepid is stable enough for day-to-day
usage... I've also looked through the output of kern.log, and there is
nothing to mention between the two computer boot-ups before and after
the crash:

The crash occurred sometime between 00:20:48 (when the computer had
finished booting) and 00:23:27 (when it started booting again after I
pressed the restart button). There is some terminal output from
Rosegarden in the moments right before the crash, I'll see if I can
write it down..

[Bug 164852] Re: Won't display contents of home folder

2008-05-20 Thread Jørgen Tellnes
I've encountered the same bug recently, although in Ubuntu 8.04. The
problem with this bug is that it isn't any obvious steps to follow to
reproduce it, as it appears to be entirely random.

Nautilus acts really weird when this bug occurs, creating a new folder
will let you see that folder (and only that folder). Pressing reload
shows a blank window again. I was able to get the tree view in the side
pane to show a form of weird directory listing for my home folder
(showing only the default Ubuntu folders (Documents, Music etc.) and the
newly created folders) by creating a new folder, pressing the up button
to go to /home, and then contracting and expanding the Home Folder entry
in the tree view. Running 'killall nautilus' to restart nautilus didn't
resolve the problem.

[Bug 34831] Re: Hardlock of entire system (Dapper Flight 5)

2008-05-11 Thread Jørgen Tellnes
I can confirm that Rosegarden locks up my system, running Ubuntu 8.04.
It forces me to do a hard reboot, as even the numlock-light is
unresponsive (my way of checking if the kernel is dead..). I don't have
any logs to point to, all logs I found in the System Log application had
no indication of the crash, other than that a reboot was performed.

** Also affects: linux-source-2.6.24 (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided

[Bug 129392] Re: "update-manager -d" in Feisty presents no option to upgrade to Gutsy

Confirmed in a fresh Feisty install. Jared`s fix does not give me the
ability to upgrade, it still says my system is up-to-date.
