[Bug 1278062] Re: firefox crashes on startup (but apparently layunched properly to enable me to post this)
I can confirm this bug. Also on lubuntu on 14.04 64bit, with all latest updates. - google-chrome and google-chrome-beta crash - thunderbird crashes - firefox crashes - other programs do crash Weird thing is, that if I create a new account, and do not login by graphical interface, but just su - {user} and run the programs, it works. If I login to the graphical interface with this user, it has the same behavior as my regular account. So: open terminal sudo adduser test sudo passwd test su - test all programs work. When the graphical environment is run for user test by login in, and the directories and files are created, things blow up -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1278062 Title: firefox crashes on startup (but apparently layunched properly to enable me to post this) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/1278062/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
