2010-05-16 Thread Jahmon
I ran instructions of #9, I have Version 2.30.0.1 and lucid-proposed updates
active.
I have one Facebook account set up and accepted all privacy requests. Nothing
shows up on my screen.
Starting gwibber from the terminal gives me the following errors:

[Bug 461521] Re: [karmic] CX20549 100% volume means 35dB (distorted output)

2009-11-13 Thread Jahmon
Hi,

I was affected by this issue too on my HP laptop.

 List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices
card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 0: CONEXANT Analog [CONEXANT Analog]
  Subdevices: 0/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 1: Conexant Digital [Conexant Digital]
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

using Karmic Koala and Kernel 2.6.31-15-generic

I Was able to solve the horrible sound issue by using the method above
mentionned by Daniel:
Edit file : sudo gedit /etc/pulse/default.pa
Find line : load-module module-udev-detect
Add to line : ignore_dB=1
Result : load-module module-udev-detect ignore_dB=1
Save file

I did a reboot but there is probably a better way to reload the modules.

thanks for the help !

[Bug 250211] Re: Intrepid: WLAN LED blinks incessantly on iwl3945 | iwl4965 laptop

2009-06-03 Thread Jahmon
On my HP dv5285ea with wireless chip: Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG/BG
and using ubuntu 9.04, I have this issue.

Since the wireless Led indicator is right below the screen it is very
disturbing that this led is blinking at each wireless activity.

I'm looking forward for a fix.
