Public bug reported:

When booting after an unclean shutdown, I get the Plymouth screen as
normal, with the text Scanning disk 1 of 1 x%. It hangs at 71%.
Pressing del and esc lots seems to make it work.

I installed the beta of Lucid yesterday, and can confirm OpenBVE is
working (though frame rate is a little slow).

[Bug 444462] Re: openbve 1.2.0.3 can't be installed due to unresolvable dependencies

2009-12-31 Thread James Goode
I have tried adjusting the package to use the new versions of the
packages. My new version installs fine, but when openbve is executed, I
get a long error message (attached). Looks like it's something to do
with Tao SDL (?).

[Bug 264241] Re: Stellarium crashes at startup (ICE default error handler doing an exit)

2009-02-11 Thread James Goode
I have the same problem on Xubuntu 8.10, though I've managed to run
Stellarium on this computer with Ubuntu 8.10 with no problems. Though I
can run it with gksu, the frame rate is less than one per second. I
don't know much about video output, but I found that in VLC player,
changing the video output to X11 slows the frame rate; this may be
related.
