[Bug 1591669] Re: duplicate touchpad reported and syndaemon/synclient does not work
I am experiencing the same(?) bug with Kubuntu 17.04, all updates as of May-13 2017. Suspending/Resuming does not help in my case. Dell Precision 5510 9550 Interestingly, the problem started to show up only recently and intermittently. I can't for sure say since when exactly. I will try the above workaround by ignoring the spurious entry in xinput. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1591669 Title: duplicate touchpad reported and syndaemon/synclient does not work To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1591669/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1678184] Re: APST quirk needed for Samsung 512GB NVMe drive
Another update: after running well for a few days, I have now encountered this bug (first time for me). [Bug 1678184] Re: APST quirk needed for Samsung 512GB NVMe drive
I too have experienced this issue (Dell Precision 5510, Samsung PM951 512GB). I am now running the Kernel from Kai-Heng Feng (Posting #61) since about 4.5h with no troubles. I'll let the machine run downloads through the night, if it crashes I will report back. [Bug 1301549] Re: Black screen after logging in after resume in Xubuntu 14.04
I found that apparently it had nothing to do with lightdm. It was a conflict between xfce-power-manager and systemd. [Bug 1301549] Re: Black screen after logging in after resume in Xubuntu 14.04
I am experiencing the same problem. Xubuntu 14.04, all updates until 02.04.2014. My system is a lenovo x200 with intel graphics. When I resume from suspend-to-ram, I get the password screen as expected, but at minimum screen brightness. This can be corrected with the screen brightness hotkeys. However, once I enter my password, the screen goes entirely black. I am not 100% sure, but I think it is the kind of black that you get when the backlight is off. At this point the only thing that works is to switch to a text console or use ssh to restart lightdm. Of course I loose all open windows this way, which makes suspending essentially useless. The only exception I encountered was when I suspended while LibreOffice Impress was on full screen. That one time, resuming worked. I am not sure if it was related. I have checked my logs but I did not find any resume-related errors. Please let me know if I should upload any logs etc. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1301549 Title: Black screen after logging in after resume in Xubuntu 14.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lightdm/+bug/1301549/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1243837] Re: Restart in the main menu does a logout instead
I should perhaps add that I have texlive-full installed on *all* of these machines, and the included package texlive-common (or tex-common?) caused troubles during the upgrade, requiring me to do apt-get install -f and apt-get dist-upgrade manually on all these machines.
