[Bug 1290785] Re: Users with UID > 60000 are invisible in login and Settings->User unless /etc/login.defs updated

2014-09-02 Thread Jan Kurella
Back from parental leave I could finally update my system. Important is
to uncache the user on an already affected system as described by Robert
Euhus in comment #18

gdbus call --system --dest org.freedesktop.Accounts --object-path
/org/freedesktop/Accounts --method org.freedesktop.Accounts.UncacheUser
euhus

Thanks for fixing :) My first contribution to ubuntu (proud) :D

[Bug 1290785] Re: Users with UID > 60000 are invisible in login and Settings->User unless /etc/login.defs updated

2014-06-23 Thread Jan Kurella
Questions:
As I reported this bug for updated systems: have ou tried this as well?
I do not have the chance to have simply a fresh install: did you also test with
big UIDs as reported? 8 digit numbers?

Where can I get the fix to test it? It is not yet visible in trusty-
proposed?

I only see 0.6.35-0ubuntu7

This is not fixed :(

I installed manually on my 14.04 instance:

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/utopic/amd64/accountsservice/0.6.37-1ubuntu4
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/utopic/amd64/init-system-helpers/1.18
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/utopic/amd64/libaccountsservice0/0.6.37-1ubuntu4

rebooted fully and no change.

Thanks a lot, this fixed the problem.

It was probably my own fault - having deleted the tomcat folder
accidentially and only reinstallung the tomcat6-common packge. Sorry for
not reinstalling the dependency on my own.

[Bug 730703] [NEW] tomcat6-common missing core libraries

2011-03-07 Thread Jan Kurella
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: tomcat6

Ubuntu 10.10 x64
The tomcat6-common package installs only the following libs:

/usr/share/tomcat6/lib/catalina-ant.jar
/usr/share/tomcat6/lib/commons-dbcp.jar
/usr/share/tomcat6/lib/commons-pool.jar
/usr/share/tomcat6/lib/el-api.jar
/usr/share/tomcat6/lib/jasper-jdt.jar
/usr/share/tomcat6/lib/jsp-api.jar
/usr/share/tomcat6/lib/servlet-api.jar
/usr/share/tomcat6/lib/tomcat-i18n-es.jar
/usr/share/tomcat6/lib/tomcat-i18n-fr.jar
/usr/share/tomcat6/lib/tomcat-i18n-ja.jar

with this libs tomcat does not start up! class Catalina is missing :)

from a working tomcat instance on 10.04 I fetched the following missing
libs:

annotations-api.jar -> ../../java/annotations-api.jar
catalina-ha.jar -> ../../java/catalina-ha.jar
catalina.jar -> ../../java/catalina.jar
catalina-tribes.jar -> ../../java/catalina-tribes.jar
jasper-el.jar -> ../../java/jasper-el.jar
jasper.jar -> ../../java/jasper.jar
tomcat-coyote.jar -> ../../java/tomcat-coyote.jar

with them manually added to /usr/share/tomcat6/lib tomcat starts...

[Bug 807014] [NEW] connection reusage across tabs

2011-07-07 Thread Jan Kurella
Public bug reported:

Probably a firefox bug:
When I fire request to an identical resource (the string in the address is
literally identical) the requests are processed synchronoulsy. This is easy to
test on a small server, that incidentially blocks for 5 seconds on a request
before returning the used thread id.
Each request fired one after the other from different tabs will return after
5*n seconds, where n is the ordinal the request was fired.
Assuming 20 parallel tabs firing the same request this would lead to the last
request getting its response after 5s*20=100s...
