[Bug 125209] Re: Flash video in Epiphany doesn't die when browser is closed
Same problem here. I would add that any flash content does this for me. Browser windows disappear when closed but they are still in memory. Opening (and eventually closing) further windows leads to huge CPU and memory consumption and finally epiphany crashes. One remarkable thing is with killing epiphany. When I close all epiphany windows and then killall epiphany-browser, I see a lot of small windows appearing for a while (not enough time to even display its contents but it definately appears on screen and in tasklist). I saw a similar window once and it said something about script slowing down the computer. It may be related to compiz as well, will investigate further. [Bug 92233] [Feisty] New version 1.3.3.8.dfsg-1 brings dependency to python2.4
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: scribus-ng New version 1.3.3.8.dfsg-1 brings dependency to python2.4. If it needs python it should depend on 'python'. Versioned python dependencies are not used in feisty. ** Affects: scribus-ng (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- [Feisty] New version 1.3.3.8.dfsg-1 brings dependency to python2.4 https://launchpad.net/bugs/92233 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 52685] Re: x11-common installs dup files
Not sure it was xinit package that has the fix but definitely there are no duplicate files anymore. -- x11-common installs dup files https://launchpad.net/bugs/52685 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 88056] Re: [apport] synaptic crashed with SIGSEGV
I haven't experienced this bug almost since the time I filed this bug (but it had been happening to me before reporting). It's been probably fixed with some apt version (I read something in its changelog) probably the same day I reported this bug. If it happens again to me, I'll add needed crash data. -- [apport] synaptic crashed with SIGSEGV https://launchpad.net/bugs/88056 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 78756] Re: photo import does not work any more
Confirmed here, it works! At least, there is import dialog that is accessible from gthumb's menu. Thanks alot! -- photo import does not work any more https://launchpad.net/bugs/78756 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 78756] Re: photo import does not work any more
or move this one to libgphoto2 ;-) -- photo import does not work any more https://launchpad.net/bugs/78756 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 78756] Re: photo import does not work any more
Found it! ;-) pkg-config checks libgphoto2 that needs libgphoto2_port (both provided by libgphoto2-dev package). libgphoto2-port0 binary package depends on libusb-0.1-4 binary package but libgphoto2-dev DOESN'T depend on libusb- dev. pkg-config check of libgphoto2_port.pc fails because it can't find libusb.pc. So it is a problem in libgphoto2-dev package not depending on libusb- dev, I think. If someone confirms this, please open a bug in libgphoto2 package. -- photo import does not work any more https://launchpad.net/bugs/78756 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 78756] Re: photo import does not work any more
Still a problem here (greyed "import" in menu, no gthumb's import dialog after plugging-in camera). gthumb version: 3:2.9.1-0ubuntu3 (it's the one that says it's really fixing import ;-)). -- photo import does not work any more https://launchpad.net/bugs/78756 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 86013] Re: [Feisty] Keyboard layout is not indicated
Workaround is to remove all keyboard related settings from gconf: 1) logout, login in text console 2) kill -1 -1, wait a moment and then kill -3 -1 3) go to .gconf directory and remove apps/gswitchit directory, remove desktop/peripherals/keyboard as well 4) sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart 5) login in gdm 6) setup you keyboard preferences again For some people this can work, others may need to: 7) logout, go to text console 8) restart gdm again: sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart This fixed the problem for me. Personally, I suspect that the real problem is the apps/gswitchit directory only and it should be removed from gconf during upgrade. -- [Feisty] Keyboard layout is not indicated https://launchpad.net/bugs/86013 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
