[Bug 943510] Re: [needs-packaging] Package spice-xpi

2012-06-22 Thread Jason Brooks
I'm not sure why, but spice-xpi built on one distro doesn't work on
another. It's distributed as a package on Fedora, and as far as I can
tell, this is the only xpi offered in the Fedora repos.

[Bug 654657] Re: Duplicate package

2010-11-06 Thread Jason Brooks
I just hit an important difference between the two packages. python-
django-openid-auth gives me a "CSRF token missing or incorrect" error,
and python-django-auth-openid doesn't give me the error.

Maybe the former package lacks the csrf_token tag in its template?

[Bug 655418] [NEW] left click stops working after playing sound

2010-10-05 Thread Jason Brooks
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

I've been experiencing this issue on maverick since I started running it
during the alpha stage, and I just recreated the issue from a live usb
instance of the maverick RC. Here's what I just did with the RC instance
to recreate:

1. Install flashplugin.
2. Open firefox and play youtube video.
3. Left-clicks no longer register.

That's it -- I've experienced this issue after playing wav files in
totem, as well. I can move my cursor around normally, I can right-click,
I can middle-click, but left clicks will not register. I can reclaim my
left-click-ability by running sudo service gdm restart from a terminal
window.

[Bug 452413] Re: Firefox hangs while loading Java applet

2010-03-23 Thread Jason Brooks
No go for me on lucid 64-bit. Well, Firefox didn't lock up, but Java
didn't work, either.

Here's what I did:

I visit http://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp, click Verifiy Java
version, the animation circles for a bit, then goes to a page that says:
"Sorry! We couldn't find the document requested." at URL
http://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp_jre_version=1.6.0_18&vendor=Sun+Microsystems+Inc.&os=Linux&os_version=2.6.32-16-generic

I ran it from the terminal, and here's what came out during the attempt:

[Bug 539795] Re: no internet connection from java app ( eclipse or netbeans )

2010-03-16 Thread Jason Brooks
I was having trouble accessing any update repos through eclipse, either
with the lucid eclipse package, the eclipse tarball from the project's
site, or with aptana studio 2.0 on my lucid 64-bit machines.

I was getting the error:

Mar 16, 2010 2:49:52 PM org.apache.commons.httpclient.HttpMethodDirector
executeWithRetry
INFO: I/O exception (java.net.ConnectException) caught when processing request:
Invalid argument

Swapping out openjdk for the sun-java6 packages in the canonical partner
repo solved my problem.

[Bug 453334] Re: virt-manager won't open remote console on kvm host

2009-10-16 Thread Jason Brooks
I upgraded my home jaunty machine (the one that could connect to the
remote kvm server in question here) to the virt-manager 0.8.0 with
packages from a PPA -- I couldn't connect after the upgrade. However,
with the latest code from the upstream project's repo, the connection
works again. So it looks like this issue has been fixed upstream.

[Bug 453334] [NEW] virt-manager won't open remote console on kvm host

2009-10-16 Thread Jason Brooks
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: virt-manager

I have a kvm server running fedora rawhide, and I'm trying to view the
remote console of a vm hosted there from Karmic's virt-manager, through
an ssh-tunneled connection. I can connect to the hypervisor, start, stop
and otherwise manipulate the vms hosted there, but I can't view the
remote console of my vms.

This works fine from virt-manager running on a separate jaunty system.
