[Bug 971313] [NEW] plasma-desktop freezes on login if non-executable files are in ~/.kde/Autostart
Public bug reported: Ubuntu Release: Kubuntu 12.04 Package Version: 4:4.7.4-0ubuntu0.1 Expected Results: Normal functionality of plasma-desktop Actual Results: plasma-desktop slowed to an intolerable crawl Have reproduced this bug twice so far, when I have a .sh file without +x in ~/.kde/Autostart, after a few seconds (loading startup apps), plasma- desktop slows to a crawl, almost freezing - it actually does function, but not enough to count, Kickoff takes over 5 minutes to load. ** Affects: kde-workspace (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/971313 Title: plasma-desktop freezes on login if non-executable files are in ~/.kde/Autostart To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kde-workspace/+bug/971313/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 578848] Re: Not starting gw6c - no server key
Hi, I know this is a very old bug report, but it's still valid - the same error happened to me today. As said in the original report, running gw6c once will download the key, but the reason why it won't work for everyone is because keys are rejected if you're redirected to a hostname other than the one in your gw6c.conf file - the solution to this is to put the final server you are connecting to as the server in your gw6c.conf, so for mine, as I connect to sydney.freenet6.net, I had to set my server to that. Once this is done, the workaround in #2 is not necessary. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/578848 Title: Not starting gw6c - no server key To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gw6c/+bug/578848/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 911052] Re: ubiquity crashed upon choosing not to restart
Okay - quick update on this one, apparently before this happened, it failed to install packages from the installation source (USB stick in my case, made with the USB Startup Disk Creator from Ubuntu). Not sure if it's related or a different bug but NO packages were installed and the OS was unable to start. It didn't even install the bootloader, I tried reinstalling the bootloader by starting the live OS from the USB and using grub-install, and that worked, however Ubuntu still wouldn't start (vmlinuz existed, but there was no initrd, it just kernel paniced when I tried to start it) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/911052 Title: ubiquity crashed upon choosing not to restart To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/911052/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
