I believe I was able to figure out how to do what you're looking for. The sort data function depends on whether you've selected a column or a row, so if you select the rows you want to sort before selecting Data->Sort... from the menu, then I think it does the right thing. [Bug 179756] Re: inefficient closing of OpenOffice Word Processor
Hi Jules, Thanks for taking time to report this. I looked into this using OpenOffice 2.3 on Hardy and found a way to do what you'd like. Instead of closing the window, there is a little "X" in the top right corner of the last OpenOffice window. It is worth noting that the X only appears in one of the windows, the window that, if closed, will quit OpenOffice. The File->Close menu also will only close the document and not quit OpenOffice, leaving you with a grey window and no document open, just like MS Word. Example: if you change from drawing something. such as a box, then decide to type something - the toolbar for the formating disappear and reappear. This causes the whole screen to toggle backwards and forwards, which makes it very hard to read or actually use the tools. I am sure this could be classified as a feature - but really it is a bug. The "Line and Filling" toolbar will hide and the "Text Formatting" toolbar will become visible. The "Text Formatting" toolbar will be in the default location instead of the same location as the "Line and Filling" toolbar. It appears to the user that the formatting toolbar has reset its position. + 5) Select the "Line" tool again and the "Line and Filling" toolbar will reappear in the location it was dragged to. [Bug 59981] suspend makes network-manager say eth1 is a wired device
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager I have a sony via vgn-s260 with an ipw2200 wireless device, running up- to-date Edgy. When I wake my laptop from sleep, nm-applet shows eth1 as a wired network. After a reboot, everything is back to normal. I also discovered, if I kill NetworkManager, rmmod ipw2200, modprobe ipw2200, then start NetworkManager, eth1 regains wireless status. The entire time iwconfig shows eth1 as being a wireless device. ** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- suspend makes network-manager say eth1 is a wired device https://launchpad.net/bugs/59981 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
