[Bug 196904] Re: with compiz, wrong colors in the workspace manager
I'm having the same issue. [Bug 157193] Re: Bad window decoration with Compiz Fusion
I've got what seems the same problem using the restricted nvidia driver provided by gutsy. lspci reports my card as: 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation G72M [GeForce Go 7400] (rev a1) With compiz enabled the window decorators sometimes are bad redrawn and you have to switch desktops or focus to get the decoration right again. [Bug 150947] Re: Distorted screen at 60hz, 1440x900: 20% black screen and wrong aspect ratio on intel X3000 (g965)
Hi, just to let you know that using alessandro's config file here didn't solve the problem in my setup (using a monitor LG-L194WT-SF). Using the xorg.conf provided didn't output 1440x900 but started at 1024x768 instead as xrandr reports no resolution above 1024x768 available :-? Using my xorg.conf xrandr reports the 1440x900 resolution but with the distorted screen :-( -- Distorted screen at 60hz, 1440x900: 20% black screen and wrong aspect ratio on intel X3000 (g965) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/150947 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 153936] Bad screen size using external monitor
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel Hi, I've got a wrong screen size when attaching an external LG monitor (not resolution which matches the monitor) . Here you can see the effect http ://gps-tsc.upc.es/imatge/_Jrh/intel_problems/distortion.JPG When I use the new xrand1.2 to switch between the LG panel and the internal laptop screen it detects the proper 1440x900 resolution and 'xrandr --outoput VGA --auto" switches to 1440x900 but it looks distorted and the screen only fills half of the LG panel (as the photo above). This might be related to bug number #135557 but I don't see any problem with my fonts, only the screen size but fell free to merge it if you think it is the same. lspci reports my card as "Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)". Here is the output of 'xrandr --verbose' with the panel conected and my xorg.conf and log http://gps-tsc.upc.es/imatge/_Jrh/intel_problems/xrand1.2_out http://gps-tsc.upc.es/imatge/_Jrh/intel_problems/xorg.conf http://gps-tsc.upc.es/imatge/_Jrh/intel_problems/Xorg.0.log ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Bad screen size using external monitor https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/153936 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I see the same on my external monitor (not on the laptop panel though) at 1280x1024. lspci reports my card as "Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)". [Bug 64798] Screen
Public bug reported: Hi, I don't know if this is a bug in xcompmgr or X itself but if I'm running "xcompmgr -Cc" on my computer (the only way to get transparencies as compiz/xgl does not work on my hardware, a Dell latitude D600 with an ATI Radeon R250 Lf. [Bug 38198] Re: Garbled using open source Radeon driver
I also think this is somewhat Cairo related. After trying the XGL server (using unofficial dapper packages from xgl.compiz.info) I can not see the grabled problems anymore... I've went back to normal XORG and now this bug seems to be gone. Installing XGL packages upgraded libcairo2 to version 1.2.0 so my guess is that helped -- Garbled using open source Radeon driver https://launchpad.net/bugs/38198 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
