After some googling around, in the end I ended up doing this: sudo apt install gnome-calculator sudo snap remove gnome-calculator And now both my keyboard calculator shortcut works as well as the calculator is no longer transparent. Same problem here and it is very annoying. Trying to install 10.10 final from i386-desktop.
