Re: [Bug 1081307] Re: virtualbox-dkms 4.1.12-dfsg-2ubuntu0.2: virtualbox kernel module failed to build [merge request]

2013-04-08 Thread Jeff Weston
I got an error when trying to install VirtualBox using this command:

$ sudo apt-get install virtualbox/precise-propsed

However, it installed correctly and I was able to run a virtual machine
when I installed VirtualBox using this command:

$ sudo apt-get install virtualbox-dkms/precise-proposed

[Bug 99140] Scroll wheel functionality on touchpad on LC2440N Linux Certified laptop does not work.

2007-04-05 Thread Jeff Weston
Public bug reported:

I am using a Linux Certified laptop, model # LC2440N [1]. The laptop has
a touchpad that emulates scroll wheel functionality by sliding up and
down along the right edge of the pad. In 6.10, this functionality worked
fine. In 7.04 beta, this no longer works.

[Bug 99126] Re: Full screen resolution not used on LC2440N Linux Certified laptop.

2007-04-02 Thread Jeff Weston
Adding "1680x1050" manually to the xorg.conf does help on my 7.04 Beta
install. However, I just downloaded the Feisty i386 Desktop livecd for
today [1] and the screen resolution is still coming back as 1024x768
when I boot using that livecd.

[Bug 99126] Full screen resolution not used on LC2440N Linux Certified laptop.

2007-03-30 Thread Jeff Weston
Public bug reported:

I am using a Linux Certified laptop, model # LC2440N [1]. The resolution
supported by the display hardware is 1680x1050. On 6.10, my resolution
was correctly detected. On 7.04, my resolution is set to 1024x768.

I tried following the instructions listed in the
DebuggingXAutoconfiguration page [2], but I was unable to get my text
console working.
