[Bug 787465] Re: View->Show MenuBar isn't working in 11.04 and later in gnome-terminal
Whether there's a global menu or not, when "show menubar" is disabled, there should not be a menubar *inside* the gnome-terminal window. Right now, when there is no global menu, AND the terminal is configured to not have a menubar, it'll have one until it's toggled twice. You could argue that the option should not be displayed when that menubar would go to the global menu. But when it's not, it shouldn't interfere with or override gnome-terminal's logic about whether or not to display a menu. ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #658760 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=658760 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/787465 Title: View->Show MenuBar isn't working in 11.04 and later in gnome-terminal To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/787465/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 521492] Re: Dual Monitor wallpaper is not scaling across both monitors, same background is repeated on both monitors instead
I'm in a dual-monitor setup, with different resolutions on each. Right now, I'm having trouble just creating a background that can work correctly without scaling on both. My layout <-- 1680 -> <- 900 -> |^ ^ | || | | |1050 1440 | || | | |---V | | V-- (excuse the bad ascii art :) ) It seems to me in this configuration, I should be able to create a background that's 2580x1440, and have it just sit correctly there. Do any of the configurations/patches available here allow this as a functional workaround for this issue? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/521492 Title: Dual Monitor wallpaper is not scaling across both monitors, same background is repeated on both monitors instead -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 671953] Re: Scales poorly on vertical panel with high-dpi display
Maybe it's hard to see. The text there is just big enough to be readable. As a result, the icons are almost invisible, and certainly impossible to make out detail in (like the volume setting). The "power" button is particularly bad, and is almost impossible to find and subsequently hit, when it's just a tiny fraction of an inch in size. [Bug 682252] [NEW] Evince opens PDFs completely above screen, not listed in task-list or alt-tab
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evince The first time I open any PDF file, evince always opens completely above the screen. The only way I can get at it is to hit alt-space to get a window menu, then move the window down. Evince doesn't show up in the task/window-list on the bottom of the screen, and can't be reached via alt-tab. Killing evince, and opening the PDF a second time displays it properly. Deleting ~/.gnome2/evince didn't help. Running compiz in Ubuntu Maverick. [Bug 334809] Re: design problem? infinite wait for long queue
Patch for xchat-gnome to use append. Question though for notify-osd developers: Is there any scenario where appending ISN'T the right behavior? Is it a common case? Since the normal behavior of upstream's notification-daemon is to add another notification for each notification, it seems that appending as the default would be the closest to "normal" behavior. In the odd case where one wouldn't want append, maybe an opt-out hint ("x-canonical-no- append"?) could be specified. ** Patch added: "xchat-gnome-notify-osd-append-hint.diff" https://bugs.launchpad.net/notify-osd/+bug/334809/+attachment/1747246/+files/xchat-gnome-notify-osd-append-hint.diff ** Changed in: xchat-gnome (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged => In Progress ** Changed in: notify-osd Status: Invalid => New ** Changed in: notify-osd (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => New -- design problem? infinite wait for long queue https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/334809 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
