[Bug 737380] Re: Dash: First item should be selected by default
Perhaps I'm too late to the party, but I would like to know the design intent behind this. My use case is as follows: 1. Every single day, twice per day, I open a spreadsheet named "TimeKeeper.ods" and I log my time for my job. 2. When I click BFB, or Win-key, I type "Tim", and the first result is always the "Time & Date" application. I might possibly have used this application once, when I first installed, but not since. Why should I need to arrow down to the file that I use EVERY day? Why shouldn't that be the first & default item shown, just like it would be in Gnome-Do, kupfer, etc? Is this the expected behavior? Can someone shed light here? Or, if I'm asking in the wrong forum, point me to the correct one? I'm having the same issue with the rtl8188ce (using the rtl8192ce driver). However, my dmesg looks different. Regardless, I'm simply subscribing to the bug. [Bug 512606] Re: suspend works (system sleeps) but then won't suspend (resumes immediately)
OK. I deleted kern.log and pm-suspend.log, and rebooted the machine. I requested suspend (via sudo pm-suspend), and it worked. The first request seems to be consistent. I then resume. I then locked the screen (this seems to make the issue come up). I unlocked the screen, and asked for suspend (Tue Jan 26 09:29:05 CST 2010 in pm-suspend.log). This suspend did not work. It immediately wakes up (Tue Jan 26 09:29:27 CST 2010: Awake). I'm not sure if it's important, but it does always seem to be 20 seconds or so between the following lines: Tue Jan 26 09:29:07 CST 2010: performing suspend Tue Jan 26 09:29:27 CST 2010: Awake. So, as soon as this finished resuming, I requested suspend again (Tue Jan 26 09:29:34 CST 2010: Running hooks for suspend.). This time it works. I apologize, but it seems like my "internal clock" wants to resume manually after 20 seconds. ** Attachment added: "pm-suspend.log" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/38412284/pm-suspend.log -- suspend works (system sleeps) but then won't suspend (resumes immediately) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/512606 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 108951] Re: Gnome drawer applet delays and unresponsiveness
Confirming, but with some info. 1. open gconf-editor and go to /apps/panel/toplevels/panel_0(for me)/ 2. uncheck "enable_animations" 3. click the drawer and you'll get a normal popup of the drawer, but it's located in the top left corner of the screen 4. check "enable_animations" again 5. click the drawer. Nothing pops up. 6. uncheck "enable_animations" again. 7. click the drawer. Now, it pops up quickly, and in the correct place... but only once. Perhaps this is some help? [Bug 107358] Re: DNSUpdate option is missing
>> pleaes check whether such a bug exists in bugzilla.gnome.org already and post your findings here. I searched, and found nothing. I'm not sure if the "only use VPN connection for these addresses" works or not, but I definitely think there should be a "DNSUpdate" option on the optional info tab. -- DNSUpdate option is missing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/107358 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 238606] Re: Flash player doesn't work properly on Firefox 3 64bits
> OK, so does a click start flash after doing that? are you using flash 10? No, a click does not start the flash. [Bug 238606] Re: Flash player doesn't work properly on Firefox 3 64bits
Can someone change this from "invalid" status? I've done both "update- alternatives" commands, and still get flash errors (YouTube videos show a gray square, for example). -- Flash player doesn't work properly on Firefox 3 64bits https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/238606 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 236092] Re: OpenOffice Calc crashes when deleting rows in 1:2.4.1~ooh680m1
Would like to confirm this. Extraordinarily frustrating. Not sure if it's related, but filling a cell with "6/1/2008" and then the next cell below with "=A4+1" doesn't yield "6/2/2008" anymore. Both of these are huge regressions for me. -- OpenOffice Calc crashes when deleting rows in 1:2.4.1~ooh680m1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/236092 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 191745] Re: No network connection possible after Hardy installation or upgrade
I'm sorry, I should make it more clear that this also happens on a fresh install of 7.10 upgraded to Hardy Heron alpha-4 and also on a fresh install of the daily build I downloaded on 12Feb2008. Thanks again. -- No network connection possible after Hardy installation or upgrade https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/191745 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 191745] [NEW] No network connection possible after Hardy installation or upgrade
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager Sorry, this may be an incomplete report, but here's my issue, as best as I can describe. I have a box with a built-in ethernet that was shorted out during a storm. So, I use a USB/Ethernet dongle to connect. I installed Feisty 7.10/i386 to it, and then used this internet connection (eth1) to download all security patches, etc. Then, the next morning, I did an "update-manager -d" to get to Hardy Heron. This was all done via the eth1 interface. After the install & subsequent reboot, I was unable to get any sort of internet connectivity. I've tried uninstalling the avahi-autoipd package, I've tried killing dhdcbd (?), NetworkManager, NetworkManagerDispatcher, and then doing a "sudo ifconfig eth1 up" gives the very informative "SIOCSIFFLAGS: Invalid argument" message. lsusb gives: Bus 002 Device 002: ID 067c:1001 Efficient Networks, Inc. Siemens SpeedStream 100MBps Ethernet If there is anymore info I should provide, please let me know. I'm a pretty strong Linux advocate, and I'd like to see this fixed before Hardy releases! [Bug 107358] DNSUpdate option is missing
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager-vpnc Forgive my ignorance of the correct terminology, but I believe I'm stating this correctly. My vpnc configuration uses the following lines: Target networks 10.10.3.33 DNSUpdate no This has always worked for me in the past. However, NetworkManager (and NM-vpnc) has no option to disable the update to DNS servers. So, when I connect and then cat /etc/resolv.conf I get a DNS server internal to my company, not my local DNS (that is used when the vpn is not connected). I saw bug 88073, and it asked for a new bug report with a specific use case. I am working from home, and do not wish for all of my network traffic to go over the vpn, just the remote desktop session that I use to connect to my work. Thanks, and great work so far! ** Affects: network-manager-vpnc (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- DNSUpdate option is missing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/107358 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
