Please find the syslog output if cifs debug enabled below. The share was
accessible on Monday 20 at least, I was running focal already, but I've
been upgrading regularly. Not sure which package update broke it (I've
changed the name of the share below manually):

2020-04-24 Thread Jhair Tocancipa Triana
Hm. Nevermind I checked with smbclient and the share was actually
removed from the Windows box... Maybe by one of the Microsoft upgrades.
After sharing it the mounting worked properly. Thanks for the smbclient
hint and sorry for the noise.

[Bug 1734700] Re: mounting CIFS share failure (cifs_mount failed w/return code = -2)

2020-04-24 Thread Jhair Tocancipa Triana
Suddenly mounting a cifs partition fails:

$ mount.cifs //de1-user-2/c$ -o
x-systemd.automount,noauto,iocharset=utf8,uid=user,gid=user,credentials=/root/.cifscredentials,file_mode=0775,dir_mode=0775,noserverino,nobrl,vers=3.0
/home/user/Windows/

mount error(2): No such file or directory
Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs) and kernel log
messages (dmesg)

$ dmesg

To fix this on my machine I removed the xiccd package. It seems is not
really used in my environment since nothing broke without it.

[Bug 856810] Re: Boot hangs at Booting system without full network configuration...

2011-10-17 Thread Jhair
On my system the symlinks /var/lock - /run/lock and /var/run - /run
already exist and I have the same issue. Is the only workaround to
change the sleep parameters in /etc/init/failsafe.conf? I'm using gdm,
xfce4 and ubuntu 11.10.

[Bug 303513] [NEW] 82801H not detected by 2.6.24-22-generic. Detected by 2.6.24-19-generic

2008-11-29 Thread Jhair
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.24-22-generic

My laptop runs hardy. I installed some updates (with the| update
manager) on November 28. One of these updates updated the kernel. With
the new kerne (llinux-image-2.6.24-22-generic) , my card:

$ lspci  | grep -i audio

Controller (rev 02)

isn't detected. I.e.

$ cat /proc/asound/cards

shows no results.

If I boot with the old kernel (linux-image-2.6.24-16-generic), sound
works perfectly:

[Bug 79128] Re: Amarok doesn't output to 2nd soundcard consistently

2007-05-20 Thread Jhair
I also have this problem. Sometimes happens when switching from playing
a radiostream to play a local stored mp3 or viceversa (is not
reproducible though).

Here the cards I use. In the amarok the Alsa Device Configuration I have
hw:Audio in the 'Stereo' field (i.e. the external USB card is the
default). Sometimes amarok uses the IXP card (internal laptop sound card
(laptop speakers)) though without notice.

[Bug 112118] Re: Segmentation fault on playing

2007-05-19 Thread Jhair
rhythmbox doesn't work for me after upgrading to feisty. When I try to
play a song the program segfaults:

$ rhythmbox -d  rhythmbox.log 21
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

I've attached rhytmbox.log to this comment.

[Bug 66723] Re: semantic does not work with emacs-snapshot (was: ECB package does not install properly)

2006-11-24 Thread Jhair
Hi Shannon,

The patch you posted fixes the 100% CPU usage issue when using jdee
(which in turns uses semantic).

I think your patch should be included in the next release, otherwise jde
is unusable with the latest emacs. Thanks!

I posted a followup through the mail interface (mail to
[EMAIL PROTECTED]) but it is not shown here in the web interface
so I post it here again.

From: Jhair Tocancipa Triana [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Subject: Re: [Bug 66723] Re: semantic does not work with emacs-snapshot (was:

Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

User-Agent: Gnus/5.110006 (No Gnus v0.6) Emacs/22.0.91 (gnu/linux)

Myster [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes:

It works but the process takes up to 100 % an idea ?
I notice it when I stop writing

I reproduce the same behaviour but I am not sure if it is related to
the patch.

The behaviour is the following: you edit a java file and leave emacs
alone (no editing). After some minutes the emacs process will take
more than 90% the CPU time.

Some times I leave emacs open when I leave my office and the next
morning, there is emacs eating 90% of the CPU, always when using JDE
(which uses semantic).

It is a nasty bug, but as I said I am not sure if it is related to the
patch, since I am almost sure the same behaviour happens with older
semantic versions (without the patch).

What I know, is that this bug happens only with recent CVS versions of
emacs (such as emacs-snapshot). With stable releases of emacs
(e.g. 21.4.1) emacs doesn't eat CPU when with semantic (jde).

Maybe the CPU eating problem should be reported as a different bug.

[Bug 66723] Re: ECB package does not install properly

2006-11-08 Thread Jhair
This is still unfixed in Edgy...

The Debian maintainer already applied a patch to the debian package
which fixes this issue. See:

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=372539

I attached the pertinent patch. You should apply it to a installed
ubuntu source package

apt-get source cedet

To apply it add the patch file name to debian/patches/00list, rebuild
the package with

sudo debian/rules binary

and install the new generated semantic_1.0pre3-1_all.deb and
ede_1.0pre3-1_all.deb packages (with dpkg -i).

Changing the gconf key /apps/webboard/pastbin to

http://paste.ubuntu-nl.org/

makes Publish work again.

So this isn't related to any upgrade. pastebin.com worked in the past
though.
