[Bug 23471] Re: The cursor section of mouse preference needs an install button.
I know this comment is not constructive, but : Such slowness or frivolity in bugs or whatever has first made me weary about contributing and then quit Linux world to Mac OS X : the best (dumb ?) consumer position with high quality usability, advanced innovation, it just works out of the box and, well, the very feeling that my needs are understood and adressed. Re: [Bug 3694] Re: Advanced ads blocking
It's a Galeon/Epiphany (they had merged, hadn't they ?) report bug. The features request want Epiphany to match the AdBlockPlus features. I've tried Firefox, with Adblock+, it's great, dispite I rather want a perfectly OS integrated gtk application. Galeon is a gtk application, with an unmatchable integration within Gnome (even with all the linux team efforts). Yet Galeon lacks AdBlock+-like features. I merely ask for adding those great features in the navigator with the bestly designed for Gnome web browser. By the way, thanks all the Epiphany/Galeon team ! [Bug 45969] Re: Always running previous version of the kernel
I installed 2.6.17-1 and 2.6.17-2 from edgy repositories. I reboot after each installation : Whan I try to remove the 2.15-22, I still get the message : "perl: warning: Setting locale failed. perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings: LANGUAGE = "fr_FR:fr:en_GB:en", LC_ALL = (unset), LANG = "fr_FR.UTF-8" are supported and installed on your system. perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale ("C"). locale: Cannot set LC_CTYPE to default locale: No such file or directory locale: Cannot set LC_MESSAGES to default locale: No such file or directory locale: Cannot set LC_ALL to default locale: No such file or directory (Reading database ... 82659 files and directories currently installed.) Removing linux-image-2.6.15-22-powerpc ... perl: warning: Setting locale failed. perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings: LANGUAGE = "fr_FR:fr:en_GB:en", LC_ALL = (unset), LANG = "fr_FR.UTF-8" are supported and installed on your system. perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale ("C"). You are running a kernel (version 2.6.15-22-powerpc) and attempting to remove the same version. This is a potentially disastrous action. Not only will /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.15-22-powerpc be removed, making it impossible to boot it, (you will have to take action to change your boot loader to boot a new kernel), it will also remove all modules under the directory /lib/modules/2.6.15-22-powerpc. Just having a copy of the kernel image is not enough, you will have to replace the modules too. I repeat, this is very dangerous. If at all in doubt, answer no. If you know exactly what you are doing, and are prepared to hose your system, then answer Yes." So I got four Linux kernel installed on my up-to-date edgy eft, and I'm still using the oldest. When I installed the 2.6.17-1, I got this message : "perl: warning: Setting locale failed. perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings: LANGUAGE = "fr_FR:fr:en_GB:en", LC_ALL = (unset), LANG = "fr_FR.UTF-8" are supported and installed on your system. perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale ("C"). locale: Cannot set LC_CTYPE to default locale: No such file or directory locale: Cannot set LC_MESSAGES to default locale: No such file or directory locale: Cannot set LC_ALL to default locale: No such file or directory Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library. [Bug 49667] openoffice does not start
Same bug on up-to-date edgy eft on iBook G4. I likely would get the same terminal feedback if I knew the command line. ** Changed in: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Status: Unconfirmed => Confirmed -- openoffice does not start on amd64 https://launchpad.net/bugs/49667 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
