Public bug reported: With no user activity (mouse or keyboard) for 20 seconds and with laptop on battery power the screen goes to maximum brightness. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox When listening to music or to a podcast it is handy to bookmark the different songs/podcasts at a certain moment. Re: [Bug 86217] Re: tv tuner card with saa7134 not detected automatically
I have a LifeView/Typhoon Flyvideo2000 using the saa7134 module and actually it is not detected automatically as well (using 9.04, but the same happened since 5.04). At boot I have to: sudo rmmod saa7134 sudo modprobe saa7134 card=3 tuner=1 I think the same stands for other cards that need the automatic set of the proper parameters. To me this is not closed. [Bug 313675] [NEW] TV card not correctly configured, saa7134 module
Public bug reported: I have a TV card (LifeView/Typhoon FlyVIDEO2000) using the saa7134 module. Using Ubuntu 8.10, Linux Athlon-Home 2.6.27-9-generic #1 SMP Thu Nov 20 21:57:00 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux. As I boot the system and open any TV application (i.e. Tvtime) I can see the video but cannot hear any sound. The problem is related with the indetermination of the correct tuner parameter for the card at boot; infact, the saa7134 module should be loaded automatically with the following parameters: "card=3 tuner=1". I succeded in obtaining sound at boot by inserting the following line in /etc/modprobe.d/options: options saa7134 card=3 tuner=1 This is a good workaround for me but it should be better if the system loads the module with the correct parameters automatically. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- TV card not correctly configured, saa7134 module https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/313675 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
