I have this bug too. If it helps I have test a clean Beta 2 install twice and it doesnt hang on shutdown until the nvidia driver is installed then the bug occurs on every instance of a shutdown. It occurs on ubuntu desktop and kubuntu and in both instances only on nvidia install. I can confirm this bug with RTL811 latest kernel system updates as of 1st Oct. Basically some internet connectivity may occur at very low speeds, but mostly it doesnt work at all. Device is seen in lspci. This bug is still active on Kubuntu Maverick on K3b V2.0.1...
