[Bug 1148033] Re: GDBus.Error:org.openobex:Error.Failed: Unable to request session

2013-08-24 Thread João Miguel Lopes Moreira
we all know that installing bluetooth manager makes bluetooth work,
after starting bluetooth manager, sending and browsing files works,
but not receiving.

The solution to receive files from phone is very simple:
1. Just start Personal File Sharing
2. deselect Share public files over Bluetotth; I also choose Always and
selected Notify about received files

And everything should start working...

Ubuntu is the best!

[Bug 752792] Re: Internal microphone not working in natty with VAIO VPCSB

2012-03-26 Thread João Miguel Lopes Moreira
The only solution to make microphone work is to install linux-backports-
modules-alsa-generic...

Just go to:

Menu / System / Administration / Synaptic Package Manager

And search and mark for installation:

linux-backports-modules-alsa-generic

tip: if you have multiple versions click on the first and read the
description which should inform what name to install...

If after the reboot and mic mute is off, still does not work, just go to
terminal and type:

sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf

and add or change the following:

options snd-hda-intel model=auto enable=yes

Then Ctrl+X, type Y to write and exit, reboot and mic will work.

Bye and have lots of fun with Ubuntu (the best).

and add or change the following:

options snd-hda-intel model=auto enable=yes

Then Ctrl+X, type Y to write and exit, reboot and mic will work.

[Bug 282931] Re: Low Microphone volume in 8.10

2012-03-26 Thread João Miguel Lopes Moreira
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 275998 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/275998

[Bug 840441] [NEW] focus lost after tab key

2011-09-03 Thread João Miguel Lopes Moreira
*** This bug is a security vulnerability ***

Public security bug reported:

when tasks are heavy, and after type something in edit object, and after
type tab key, it should move the focus to next object that can receive
focus, but sometimes, because of other tasks running heavy, the focus
does not change, and the keys typed after the tab appear in the edit
where the tab key was already typed...

It might seem a bug or flaw with no interest, but it is a major security
breach, because, when I am in Firefox, and type, for example, at a login
page, the user name, then press the tab key and type the password and
then press the enter key, sometimes, I send the user name followed by
the password, all in the same edit of the user name, which shows the
password in screen and I think expose to the web the account
combination...

All this could be avoid if the edit object would have a property that
changed to true after the tab key is pressed, stopping further typing in
that edit, even if have the focus...

** Affects: ubuntu
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

** Visibility changed to: Public
