[Bug 223357] Re: "print selection Only" does not work in firefox3

2008-07-23 Thread JoelM
It looks like it does not work within frames or something I made a
little screen cast to show the problem inside Wikipedia.

You can also see how if select the blue table at this
page.http://www.ncccusa.org/news/080215yearbook1.html, it will not
print.

Look at this video and you will see the missing border a lot clearer.
Notice when the mouse hovers over the X that the bottom of the border of
the square doesn't show. If I click the X, then it shows.

I am running Firefox version: 3.0~b5+nobinonly-0ubuntu3 Default theme 2.0

[Bug 232523] [NEW] Grid bolders don't show thickness

2008-05-21 Thread JoelM
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

I have borders in my Openoffice Spreadsheets (Calc) document. These
boarders have a default thickness of 0.05 pt. If I change it to 0.50 pt
I would expect the borders lines to become thicker on screen, but it
does not. When I look at the print preview, everything is as I expect it
to be and when I create a PDF file, the lines are at correct thickness.

I have noticed I that thickness above 1.50 pt show on the screen fine,
but any thiner and the thickness does not show inside Openoffice but
shoes in print preview.

I have included a screencast so that the problem will be clear to all.

[Bug 112208] Purging affects other pachages that user may not want purged

2007-05-03 Thread JoelM
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: adept

Yesterday I installed Enlightenment, the desktop environment, and today
I decided to uninstall it. I wanted to uninstall the package along with
any configuration files and what not so I selected purging in adept. I
did this for every Enlightenment package that I had installed.

When I committed the change, adept started to uninstal Kubuntu-desktop
and all the kde apps. That is very annoying.

Adept should have a feature where it warns that user if purging a
package will affect another package that is installed/used, like
kubuntu-desktop. Then give the user the choice to continue with the
purge or cancel it.

I have to go reinstall Kubuntu-desktop now

[Bug 110626] Title bar missing

2007-04-27 Thread JoelM
Public bug reported:

When I turn on beryl the title bars on windows disappear (You can
simulate this by using a theme in .emerald and then deleting that theme,
reload the decoration. All your titlebars should be gone).

That isn't the case with me. Regardless of the decoration I use, I can
not recover my titlebar. I try to use aquamarine with no luck. I have
checked to see if aquamarine is running and it is.

I have nvidia working properly. All the effects of beryl are working
(ex: cube, window zoom, ect)

Let me know if you need more information.

[Bug 109084] Computer does not start after placed in hibernation (Kubuntu 7.04)

2007-04-22 Thread JoelM
Public bug reported:

I am using Kubuntu 7.04 Linux 2.6.20-15-generic #2 SMP i686 GNU/Linux

Problem:

I select Log Out and then Hibernate. The computer then shows the screen
savor and within a shot moment it shuts down. Then I turn on the PC.
Computer begins to start up as it normally does. The Kubuntu splash
screen shows (the one before Xorg loads) after a few moments the screen
turns completely black and it stays like this. The computer is running,
the fans are working, the monitor does not go into power save. The green
light on the tower that indicates that the computer is on begins to
blink. I try to press keys on the keyboard and mouse, nothing brings the
PC back. I tap on the on/off button, nothing happens. Finally, in order
to use the computer, I have to hold down the on/off button long enough
for the computer to shut down. The reboot is successful.
