[Bug 1923050] acpidump.txt

2021-04-08 Thread Johan Larsson
apport information

** Attachment added: "acpidump.txt"

https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1923050/+attachment/5485630/+files/acpidump.txt

** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu)
   Status: Incomplete => Confirmed

** Description changed:

I cannot resume from suspend. I am on Ubuntu 20.10, Gnome 3.38. Neither
pushing the power button or opening the lid solves the issue. The led
indicator continues to pulsate and there's no indication of any response
  from the computer.

I've tried switching between versions 450 and 460 of the Nvidia graphics
driver as well as Noveau and the issues persists regardless of which
  driver I use.

This started happening no too long ago, maybe around a month from now.
  It previously worked just fine.

driver as well as Noveau and the issues persists regardless of which
driver I use.

This started happening no too long ago, maybe around a month from now.
It previously worked just fine.

[Bug 1841826] Re: Going to sleep instead of logging in while lid closed & external display

2021-01-10 Thread Johan Larsson
No, Tim, it's connected via display port. I don't have any logitech gear
and disabling autostart for Dropbox does not help.

[Bug 1841826] Re: Going to sleep instead of logging in while lid closed & external display

2021-01-10 Thread Johan Larsson
I have this problem as well on ubuntu 20.10 on a Thinkpad T14 with
integrated Geforce MX330 graphics. My laptop is closed and docked via a
thunderbolt 3 dock to a single external monitor.

I have tried the fix proposed here:
https://askubuntu.com/questions/1083720/ubuntu-goes-suspended-after-
login-if-lid-is-closed/1239573#1239573 to no avail.

[Bug 365770] Re: Screensaver starts while playing a Video with Kaffeine

2009-06-08 Thread Johan Larsson
I'm using gnome and mplayer, and after upgrading to ubuntu 9.04, the
screensaver starts when watching video. It didn't do that before the
upgrade. Is it really only people using kde that have commented here
before me? It would be a little strange that I'm the first gnome user
reporting about this screensaver problem, it should have been noticed
before I think?

[Bug 223989] Re: wine: incorrect Browse C:\ Drive launcher

2009-06-05 Thread Johan Larsson
I just upgraded to 9.04/Wine 1.1.22 from 8.04, and this Browse C:\
Drive shortcut stopped working. Removing the tilde and following slash
in the original command for the shortcut - xdg-open ~/.wine/drive_c -
made it work again. Executing that command in the terminal brings up the
folder correctly however, which I find strange - why is there a
difference?

Yes, eventually I found that out too. (I should get some sleep, really.)
Sorry for the trouble.

[Bug 77059] Re: MP3 Support is Broken In Feisty

2007-08-23 Thread Johan Larsson
I had similar problems, using Gutsy Tribe 4. Amarok freezes up when
complaining of lack of mp3 support.

(But now, looking at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/RestrictedFormats again, I
see that I probably didn't follow the instructions completely. I only
installed the Ubuntu restricted extras package as suggested in the
main part in the beginning of the document: Follow these steps to play
most common multimedia formats, including MP3 ...; install Ubuntu
restricted extras. I didn't notice that there were additional
instructions several sections and mouseclicks away on other pages -
install the package libxine1-ffmpeg (which will install libmad0 as
well).)

However, after deleting the xine catalog.cache file and installing the
Xine extra plugins as the description in the Adept Manager said
Codecs to play mp3 ... in Amarok ... Amarok didn't complain anymore
and happily played my mp3 tracks.
