[Bug 1014622] Re: No sound at all
Problem solved by http://askubuntu.com/questions/153602/ubuntu-12-04 -sound-only-comes-in-headphones-doesnt-come-in-inbuilt-speakers-h This seems to be a recent issue as I have this problem also in my HP Pavilion dv61355dx. The following is only a temporary fix to put sound on the in-built speakers but will not send audio to the headphones (at least in my case). sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf Make sure to back up the document before modifyng it and add the next line at the bottom of the document: options snd-hda-intel model=dell-m4-3 enable_msi=1 This indeed solved the issue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1014622 Title: No sound at all To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1014622/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

When is start cheese via a terminal I see this: johnb@johnb-HP-Pavilion-dv6-Notebook-PC:~$ cheese (cheese:3182): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkImage to a GtkToggleButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkToggleButton can only contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkLabel (cheese:3182): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkImage to a GtkToggleButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkToggleButton can only contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkLabel (cheese:3182): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkImage to a GtkToggleButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkToggleButton can only contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkLabel (cheese:3182): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkImage to a GtkButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkButton can only contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkLabel (cheese:3182): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkGrid to a GtkToggleButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkToggleButton can only contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkLabel (cheese:3182): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkImage to a GtkButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkButton can only contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkLabel johnb@johnb-HP-Pavilion-dv6-Notebook-PC:~$ cheese (cheese:3189): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkImage to a GtkToggleButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkToggleButton can only contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkLabel (cheese:3189): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkImage to a GtkToggleButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkToggleButton can only contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkLabel (cheese:3189): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkImage to a GtkToggleButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkToggleButton can only contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkLabel (cheese:3189): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkImage to a GtkButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkButton can only contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkLabel (cheese:3189): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkGrid to a GtkToggleButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkToggleButton can only contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkLabel (cheese:3189): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkImage to a GtkButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkButton can only contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkLabel johnb@johnb-HP-Pavilion-dv6-Notebook-PC:~$ cheese (cheese:3198): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkImage to a GtkToggleButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkToggleButton can only contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkLabel (cheese:3198): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkImage to a GtkToggleButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkToggleButton can only contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkLabel (cheese:3198): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkImage to a GtkToggleButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkToggleButton can only contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkLabel (cheese:3198): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkImage to a GtkButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkButton can only contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkLabel (cheese:3198): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkGrid to a GtkToggleButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkToggleButton can only contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkLabel (cheese:3198): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkImage to a GtkButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkButton can only contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkLabel johnb@johnb-HP-Pavilion-dv6-Notebook-PC:~$ cheese (cheese:3222): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkImage to a GtkToggleButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkToggleButton can only contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkLabel (cheese:3222): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkImage to a GtkToggleButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkToggleButton can only contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkLabel (cheese:3222): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkImage to a GtkToggleButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a

[Bug 292676] Re: Thunderbird doesn't play any sound on notification
Can some of the developers comment on the possibility of getting this fixed. I will also post a png file with the error notification that pops up the first time you receive a mail after you activated in preferences the sound notification. -- Thunderbird doesn't play any sound on notification https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/292676 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 521113] Re: ubuntuone reports your files are up to date but no syncing occured
At the moment, syncing is working. I do have problems with large files e.g. 58 MB. But I gues this is for another bugreport ;-) This one can be closed. -- ubuntuone reports your files are up to date but no syncing occured https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/521113 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 521113] [NEW] ubuntuone reports your files are up to date but no syncing occured
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client I am using the PPA for Kubuntu made by Harald Sitter. Installed the nessecary files through Kpackagekit. Made connection with the web interface. So far so good. For a short period of time I was able to sync a complecte folder with a lot of small files by adding them to the Ubuntuone dir. Syncing a second Folder did not work and resulted in only a few incomplete files (0 kb). The rest did not sync at all. Deleting these folders in the Ubuntuone dir did not result in any syncing. I've attached the syncdeamon.log. Hope this helps.
