[Bug 358430] [NEW] updates to the kernel fail to update menu.lst
Public bug reported: The last two updates to the kernel installed correctly but did not show up when I booted until I manually edited /boot/grub/menu.lst. I don't know if the fault lies with grub or synaptic or with my installation which is kubuntu h. h. upgraded to jaunty and with a lot of extra stuff installed. Not a huge problem, probably, but confusing for new users. [Bug 175444] screen going black
Public bug reported: This happens occasionally while while using Firefox. I thought it was some setting for turning things off when there was no keyboard activity, but trying to watch a DVD with Kaffeine is causing it to happen every 30 to 60 seconds. [Bug 106631] Re: Ubiquity hangs while starting up manual partitioner (GUI Error)
I have gotten the same error while trying to install Feisty Fawn Beta i386. I have made two separate downloads, burned two cds and checked mdsums. I got an error message saying that ubiquity had crashed and tryed twice to send a bug report from wthin the installation desktop but I have no way of knowing if they got through. I have been able to install and use the beta kubuntu feisty fawn but I haven't been able to get past this point installing this beta nor was I able to save anything in the way of documentation. I wondered if the program is confused by the number of versions of Linux installed on these drives. ** Attachment added: "fstab" http://librarian.launchpad.net/7338350/fstab -- Ubiquity hangs while starting up manual partitioner (GUI Error) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/106631 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
