[Bug 1859342] [NEW] Elantech Touchpad not working

2020-01-12 Thread John Goodman
Public bug reported:

I have a Dell Inspiron 13 - 7359 but in the bios it says its a 7348.
I've tried every online guide I can find but no success in getting the
touchpad to work. The touch screen works well though. I've reset the
bios, flashed the bios, tried fn f5, fn f7 etc. Installed xorg drivers,
evdev, synaptics, etc. Grub options. It shows up in the touchpad config
for both ubuntu and kubuntu 19.10 or 18.04 but does not respond at all.
Any help much appreciated! I'm not sure if it is a kernel or an xorg
bug. I don't have the expertise.

[Bug 1797373] Re: 3D slide transitions don't work at all or tear when played + repeat animations don't work

2019-10-17 Thread John Goodman
I'm running kubuntu 19.10 with all latest updates. No transitions work.
Option for 3d accel is greyed out.

Turning use opengl for all rendering off and on again fixed 2d
animations but 3d still don't work.
