I sorry but I think I’ve to correct my earlier statement. Seems it was a bit to enthusiastic. After a longer period (about an hour) of a good reliable connection the speed begins to diminish before the connection stops working completely. I just tested the new firmware with my DWA-140 rev. B2 (07d1:3c0a). The afore mentioned regressions about download speed and connection reliability seems to be fixed now. Everything is working now. I’ve been using the oneiric version on of the package on my natty installation but I think the firmware version is the same. I can confirm the situation. • rt2870sta can’t connect at draft-N speed. • rt2000usb can connect at draft-N speed. • With rt2000usb the connection is extremely slow. [Bug 223825] Re: aiccu init.d script will race dhclient (upstart issue?)
There are several packages which restart their service from within /etc/networks/if-up.d/. The ntpdate package or the openssh-server package. -- aiccu init.d script will race dhclient (upstart issue?) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/223825 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 363958] Re: in intramfs dropbear starts before NIC is ready
The dropbear init-premount sript should not start configure_network in background. In "/usr/share/initramfs-tools/scripts/init-premount/dropbear" replace: configure_networking & with configure_networking This way the networking script has time to configure everything before the dropbear daemons gets started. ** Changed in: dropbear (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- in intramfs dropbear starts before NIC is ready https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/363958 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 464565] [NEW] Unable to connect to ipv6 domains
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: cups If trying to connect to ipv6 domains cups reports a "400 Bad Request" error. The cups daemon emits the error on both the web interface and inter client-server-connections. Trying to access via the ipv6 address directly is successful though. On an ipv6-enabled host it's easy to test. Browsing in firefox to http://[::1]:631/ the cups interface appears. Browsing to http://ip6-localhost:631/ cups reports a bad request. The domain name ip6-localhost is setup to redirect to ::1 correctly. cups version: 1.4.1-5ubuntu2 Ubuntu: 9.10 ** Affects: cups (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Unable to connect to ipv6 domains https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/464565 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 72054] Re: package defaults are unfriendly for users that use the 'viins' editing mode
The zsh manual says the viins mode is automatically turned on if the EDITOR environment variable contains anything linke 'vi'. http://zsh.sourceforge.net/Doc/Release/zsh_17.html#SEC92 The additional ubuntu keybindings cause a lot of trouble if someone exports EDITOR=vim in .zshrc and starts an other zsh instance via sudo -s oder screen. The new instance starts with viins mode and the keybindings in /etc/zsh/zshrc are activated. This doesn't affect a normal login shells since the environment most likely doesn't have the EDITOR variable set. -- package defaults are unfriendly for users that use the 'viins' editing mode https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/72054 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 278842] [NEW] kde lacks own pam file for screensaver
Public bug reported: Release: Intrepid (devel) KDE4 doesn't provide an own pam file for it's screensaver/screenlock component. Cause it's missing pam falls back to /etc/pam.d/others. If a user has a more restrictive /etc/pam.d/others than the default one (pam_deny.so) pam denies everything causing the kcheckpass component not being able to verify the password. the user can't login anymore.
