[Bug 761409] Re: Cannot click on left-most indicator on panel if a non-indicator icon appears

2011-05-01 Thread Jonathan Almeida
I'm not a programmer, but I think if it was possible to get the systray
to load first, before the indicator icons. it might work. Since
restarting unity temporarily fixes the bug (until next restart), maybe
adding the command to restart unity (unity --replace) at start up would
solve the problem.

Again, I'm not experienced in code.

[Bug 769478] Re: Using TV with HDMI doesn't let you maximize windows

2011-04-23 Thread Jonathan Almeida
** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: unity

I'm not entirely sure, but I think this bug is caused by unity.

Screen configuration: Laptop connected to TV by HDMI
  (http://img860.imageshack.us/i/monitorconfscreen.png/)

Bug: When executing the command 'unity --replace' (to temporarily fix
another bug in unity) the ability to maximize application windows won't
work properly. They 'maximize' to a small area between my LCD screen and
  the TV. (Image: http://img580.imageshack.us/i/bugscreenshot.png/ )
+
+ EDIT: A temporary fix is checking the option to choose same image on
+ both monitors, unplugging the HDMI cable and replugging it back again
+ with the original settings.

[Bug 764314] [NEW] unable to click on some indicator icons

2011-04-18 Thread Jonathan Almeida
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: unity

Since I recently updated Ubuntu, I'm not able to click on any indicators
(to view the menu) that are on the left of the indicator-applet.
However, the time date, me menu and power indicators work fine. Once
I've selected either one of the three, I am then able to move my cursor
to the desired indicator I want (i.e the ones that you are not able to
directly select).

The indicators I have running have been working fine since I've run
updates as of yesterday.

Currently indicators running (from left): Synapse, Tomboy, Caffeine,
battery, network, audio, mail icon, time date, me menu and power icon.

[Bug 750386] Re: compiz crashed with SIGABRT in raise() after activating ATI drivers

2011-04-18 Thread Jonathan Almeida
After the beta release of 11.04, this issue has gone. It has only left
the plymouth boot screen slightly 'blown up'.

Thanks !

[Bug 759627] [NEW] unity overlaps virtualbox on fullscreen

2011-04-13 Thread Jonathan Almeida
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: unity

Bug: When using VirtualBox (OSE 4.0.4), Unity overlaps it and doesn't go
away when click on the virtual window. That is, the application launcher
is always visible with the menu bar at the top as well.

How to replicate: The problem occurs when using the keyboard shortcuts
to switch from a different workspace to the workspace with the virtual
OS.

How to temporarily fix bug: Using Alt + Tab sometimes works, otherwise
you need to switch to another workspace and then click on the VirtualBox
icon in the Unity launcher.

I've only used Windows XP for virtualization so far, so I cannot confirm
whether this happens for other OS virtualizations.

[Bug 755234] Re: systray appears behind main panel

2011-04-12 Thread Jonathan Almeida
The theme is Faenza: http://tiheum.deviantart.com/art/Faenza-
Icons-173323228

I have noticed this happening with other themes as well, but I haven't
tested this with the default Ubuntu icon pack.

I will also try to find out what was my last action before this happens.
