[Bug 874535] Re: Volume Slider Jumps, due to rapidly changing hardware jack sense state

2021-09-14 Thread José Manuel
This worked for me Thank you David Henningsson (diwic)

Sorry if i post wrong, is my first comment

Change /usr/share/pulseaudio/alsa-mixer/paths/analog-output-headphones.conf
from:

[Jack Front Headphone]
required-any = any

[Jack Headphone]
required-any = any

to :

# [Jack Front Headphone]
# required-any = any

# [Jack Headphone]
# required-any = any

...restart pulseaudio (or the computer) for changes to take effect.

2019-07-21 Thread José Manuel Ferrer
Sorry, I think this isn't the proper place for me to report this...
because in my case it's not happening with gdm, but with lightdm.

[Bug 1774188] Re: Unlocking the screen takes 5 seconds in Xorg sessions (not so much in Wayland sessions)

2019-07-21 Thread José Manuel Ferrer
It happens to me also. Fresh install of Lubuntu 18.04, fully updated, on
an HP Pavilion g6. Whenever the screen is locked (either manually
choosing to lock it, or automatically after X amount of time without
using it), it will take many seconds just to simply draw the password
dialog. But if I switch to the terminal with Ctrl+Alt+F1, then back to
the X-Window "terminal", it will draw a text telling me that it will
take a few seconds to show me the password dialog ??!! That message then
disappears into a black screen, and more than twenty seconds later,
finally the password dialog shows up. The laptop was doing nothing,
completely idle... this shouldn't happen.

** Also affects: gdm
   Importance: Undecided
   Status: New

** No longer affects: gdm

Ok, thank you so mucha. I think that it is solved. I had disabled the
UEFI partition in the boot menu. Now It is not disabled and it seem
that it works fine.
kind regards

[Bug 1687193] [NEW] package mysql-server-5.7 5.7.17-0ubuntu0.16.04.2 failed to upgrade: subprocess new pre-installation script returned error exit status 1

2017-04-29 Thread José Manuel Ferrer
Public bug reported:

It fails on each new version, on the configure step, and the cause seems
to be because I changed the settings of the service so it doesn't start
on boot by default. The configure script tries to connect to the
database in order to check something, and it always fails, no matter if
the service was running before configuring or not (if it was running, it
stops it and doesn't run it again before the check, or at least it
doesn't succeed in launching the service before that check).

[Bug 1481415] [NEW] Commands not prefixed with the right symbol on section D.4 on the Installation Guide

2015-08-04 Thread José Manuel Ferrer
Public bug reported:

Section D.4 of the Installation Guide, with title Installing Ubuntu from
a Unix/Linux System, shows on the first paragraph:

"In this section, $ symbolizes a command to be entered in the user's
current system, while # refers to a command entered in the Ubuntu
chroot."

But then it lists all the commands that are to be execute before
entering the chroot environment with an initial # character, when it
should be a $ instead. The last command from the start of the section
that should have a $ should be this one:

# LANG=C chroot /mnt/ubuntu /bin/bash

[Bug 131204] Re: The list of sources could not be read

2007-09-20 Thread José Manuel Fandiño Lareo
Ubuntu sources.list generator at
 http://www.ubuntu-nl.org/source-o-matic/

With this generator you can create your own custom sources.list from
various available sources. It takes only two simple steps.

Then, you have to edit the sources list file manually with an editor
(e.g. gedit).

If you don't know what to do with a sources.list file, please read
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Repositories/CommandLine

Sorte ;-P
