[Bug 1835639] Re: During boot - System bootorder not found
We made a fresh 18.04 LTS Lubuntu 64 bits install + updates on Acer TravelMate B118-M (2019), booting with Secure Boot Disabled. Ok! We clone this installation to Acer TravelMate B117-M (2018, 2017), booting with Legacy mode. We had the problem. We can boot ours B117-M pressing Esc at boot. And we found as workaround: sudo su rm -R /boot/efi/EFI/BOOT reboot After that, we made the same change to the original (B118-M) and we booted without problems. So, it seems like /boot/efi/EFI/BOOT folder is the cause of the problem. Machines are booting correctly from /boot/efi/EFI/ubuntu folder. We have the rest of ours B117-M with 16.04 LTS. I tried many viewers. Some of them worked. I configured eog (Eye of Gnome) as my default viewer as work-around. [Bug 1493814] Re: [Acer Travelmate B115-M] Synaptic touchpad
Yes, I know it. Commented at askubuntu.com/a/670283/358831 askubuntu.com/questions/653735 askubuntu.com/questions/651974 With latest BIOS you can disable i2c detection. But if you don't disable it, i2c detection fails it as explained. If you need more testing don't hesitate to ask for.
