[Bug 2056655] Re: Fullscreen mode dosent display image fullscreen

2024-03-09 Thread Joseph Matheney
I reported this in 2021 (over 3 versions ago) and the bug has still not been
addressed...
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lximage-qt/+bug/1990427

I am re-reporting the bug because the original bug report was marked as
expired.

[Bug 2056655] [NEW] Fullscreen mode dosent display image fullscreen

2024-03-09 Thread Joseph Matheney
Public bug reported:

I am using lximage-qt 0.17.0

When I place the application in fullscreen mode small images will be
displayed at their original size rather than being displayed as
fullscreen

While displaying a small image at a 1:1 ratio is a nice option, I would
have expected an option to stretch the image to fill the 'full' area of
my 'screen'.

I tried the 'fit' option but that does not seem to do anything with
small images, it appears to be use to shrink large images.

[Bug 1363640] Re: Missnamed, should be 1.2

2016-01-31 Thread Joseph Matheney
This is the version number for sdl-ttf... it has nothing to so with the
base sdl package's version number. If you look at the versioning scheme
for the source tarballs it become apparent
https://www.libsdl.org/projects/SDL_ttf/release/

As far as dev packages go, there is libsdl-ttf2.0-dev which corresponds

2016-01-31 Thread Joseph Matheney
I believe the cause of this was failure to update package list prior to
performing an upgrade.
I think this is also invalid as it has nothing to do with sdl-ttf2.0 package
but marked as incomplete for now incase further information can be provided, or
additional duplicates start pouring in.

[Bug 1153908] Re: fail to create live session user when user-setup/encrypt-home=true is passed

2013-07-01 Thread Joseph Matheney
There are a few things that need to be checked, in the initramfs we
should have modules for aes cbc and or ecb (I think their built into the
kernel so no modules needed) We also need to have encryptfs-utils and
cryptsetup stuff in the initramfs. I have only 32 bit architecture
available to me, im going to check all this out on my livecd. If someone
could do the same for the 64bit livecd and report back I can really use
the info.

[Bug 1166401] Re: [Kubuntu 13.04 beta 2]Monitor goes into PowerSaving mode during installation

2013-07-01 Thread Joseph Matheney
This sounds more like the kernels built in screen save option. It can be
disabled with 'setterm -powersave off -blank 0'
I would write a patch for this, but in my opinion, I think its much better to
destroy the users install over destroying the users monitor. Therefore I
propose that this bug be marked as invalid, but I wont change it myself in case
of overwhelming demand for the above mentioned patch for custom livecds.

[Bug 1179367] Re: Customizing the live user skel

2013-07-01 Thread Joseph Matheney
I dont think this is a bug, if you look at the user-setup-apply script
from raring;

Line 213:
if [ -x $ROOT/usr/sbin/adduser ]; then
$log $chroot $ROOT adduser --disabled-password --gecos "$RET" $UIDOPT
$ENCRYPT_HOME_OPT "$USER" >/dev/null || true
else
$log $chroot $ROOT useradd -c "$RET" -m "$USER" $UIDOPT >/dev/null ||
true
fi

both methods will copy skel, and if the directory already exists;

Line 231:
if [ "$HOME_EXISTED" ]; then
# The user's home directory already existed before we called
# adduser. This often means that a mount point under
# /home/$USER was selected in (and thus created by) partman,
# and the home directory may have ended up owned by root.
$log $chroot $ROOT chown "$USER:$USER" "/home/$USER" >/dev/null || true
fi

It will simply chown it to the user. So it looks like 1 of 2 things is
happening here;

#1 The directory already exists and your changes to skel aren't getting
copied because neither of the adduser programs will overwrite. In which
case, you just need to delete the home directory from the live system.

#2 The package user-setup is not installed on the live system.

Test out these theories and let me know if this fixes the issue.
