@mark-fox, thanks for filing this report! If I am reading your report correctly this appears to be specific to autofs and when you do not escape certain characters? My suggestion was going to be escaping these charachters or using the ASCII codes for example: DOLLARSIGN = \044 AMPERSAND = \046 You have the bash output when trying to do this via the command line, however I would expect that to fail as $ is a special character. ** Changed in: autofs (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1680224 Title: auto.smb fails on Windows administrative shares To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/autofs/+bug/1680224/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1680750] Re: pm-hibernate does nothing at all
@teo8976, thanks for reporting this. Currently there is insufficient information to even begin work on this report. If we are to track down a root cause or help your diagnose this any further then we would need to know more. I am no expert on pm-utils, but I think the following would get something going: 1. It sounds like this used to work? Was it working on 16.04 and only recently broke? 2. What model is your hardware? 3. Did you recently update the system BIOS? Are you running the latest? You can collect this by running sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date I cannot promise this will get you a resolution, but more information is indeed required. @yadi, thanks for looking at this! When I filed a number of bugs around missing dep8 tests I did my best to catch source packages that did not contain binaries/source-only. @apolitech thanks for following up on your solution! Given the error was: 'No such file or directory' It makes me think that the path to the file was not escaped properly. [Bug 1678681] Re: package samba 2:4.4.5+dfsg-2ubuntu5.5 failed to install/upgrade: sub-processo script post-installation instalado retornou estado de saída de erro 1
Hi, thank you for reporting the bug and making Ubuntu better Unfortunately the log didn't hold any detailed information what exactly went wrong. If you could provide the full output of $ systemctl status smbd.service that might help. Also in most cases of this kind of bugs user installed a package in the past, then did not configure it (or experimented), but eventually ended up with a service not starting. Now on the update the service is restarted and this is in most of the cases what is reported as the fail. There again the output above might help. If it wasn't working before the update the question is either: 1. fix its config up to work 2. remove it if not needed anyway To assist one would likely need at least the output and maybe even more configuration details. @shadowlmd, after reviewing paelzer's comment #26 it is very clear that he made a significant effort to help resolve your report. Looking at paelzer's explanation, he reproduced the root issue in a variety of ways, investigated if this was a known upstream issue, or if known upstream work around existed. In this case this situation should be avoided and corrected via a configurable option. For this specific issue I also agree that there is no action to take at this time. [Bug 1679420] [NEW] Missing dep8 tests
Public bug reported: -BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA256 As of April 3, 2017, this source package did not contain package tests in the current development release of Ubuntu, named Zesty. This was determined by running `pull-lp-source vlan zesty` and then checking for the existence of 'debian/tests/' and 'debian/tests/control'. The package was also checked for 1) a test suite declaration in the debian/control file, 2) any 'test', 'tests', 'testsuite', or 'test-suite' directories, 3) go tests (if applicable), and 4) a test suite declared in a setup.py (if applicable). If you feel this report is incorrect (e.g. this is a library or a source only package) or the check above missed some other package level test please reply explaining why and mark this bug as 'invalid'. Test automation is essential to higher levels of quality and confidence in updates to packages. dep8 tests [1] specify how automatic testing can be integrated into packages and then run by package maintainers before new uploads. [Bug 1679401] [NEW] Missing dep8 tests
Public bug reported: -BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA256 As of April 3, 2017, this source package did not contain package tests in the current development release of Ubuntu, named Zesty. This was determined by running `pull-lp-source spice-protocol zesty` and then checking for the existence of 'debian/tests/' and 'debian/tests/control'. This defect is to report the absence of these tests and to report the opportunity as a potential item for development by both new and experienced contributors. Thanks!
