Me temo que eso puede ser lo que ha ocurrido. Estaba husmeando en el menú, y
como el botón de mi ratón falla es posible que se soltase al pasar por
encima de esta opción.

Vi aparecer la ventana de enviar informe de error y pensando que había
ocurrido un error le di a enviar.

De ser así, este informe puede borrarse sin problemas. No soy consciente de
que haya ocurrido un error en realidad.

Same behavior here. My 8.04 version was upgraded from 7.10 with dist-
upgrade. Nautilus does not crash for me on Ctrl+C & Ctrl+V but with
Edit->Copy and Edit->Paste with folder `foo' selected.
