[Bug 380033] [NEW] Unexpected system freeze

2009-05-24 Thread Jules
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu Studio 9.0.4
It's amazing and great!
But complete system freeze occure whenever i using synaptic or a web-browser.

In synaptic, if it's a short install it's fine, but every longer
downloading crash. There is a little time (maybe waiting some kind of
timeout) while the system freeze, but it happen in short time even if i
force the synaptic to close. Sometime after freeze it seems the problem
is the input devices somehow cut. Because no mouse or keyboard works,
but the CPU showing applet in gnome still works some time. So maybe it's
not a complete freeze just cutting the input sources.

Using firefox sometimes the same freeze happen. I try to report this bug
second time with the browser.

[Bug 47264] Re: screen corruption around mouse pointer

2007-07-06 Thread Jules
Okay, sorry about this. I tried to join this site before the bug was
closed, but my emails were all being bounced at the time so I couldn't
register. The same bug appears in the Win32 release of Blender on my
Acer Aspire 1694WLMi laptop running WinXP. Same bug does not appear on
any other machine I've used.

It seems to only happen with the cross-hair pointer in mesh edit mode,
and happens to menus and model graphics equally. It looks sort of like
the rectangle area under the pointer is copied from a mixture of
previous images when you move the mouse, if that makes any sense.

e.g. It flickers under the pointer when you rotate a mesh, but keeps
overwriting with correct images and wipes over the mouse pointer, so
that when you aren't moving the mouse, you can't see the pointer. Then
when you finally finish rotating, it looks ok except the mouse is still
invisible, until you move the pointer even slightly, upon which moment
the mouse reappears, and the corrupt image also appears and stays stuck
on the screen where the mouse was. Confusing enough description?

Sorry I'm new to this whole bug-reporting thing. I realize it's windows
and not ubuntu, but the hardware platform is almost the same so it might
be related. I'm using blender 2.44. I'm using an external usb mouse too,
not the built in pad. The laptop uses ati radeon x700 mobility gpu. I
hope it's not the laptop drivers, because there will probably never be
any more drivers for it (ati catalyst drivers refuse to install, saying
go and ask laptop manufacturer). That's all I can think of writing.

Thanks,
Jules

Re: [Bug 289425] Re: TuxPaint does not print

2008-10-31 Thread Jules
When I type "tuxpaint" in the command line, tuxpaint will normal start.
(I do not now off there a commando in front of behind tuxpaint must come.)
When i press on the print button, nothing happens on the command line.
Tuxpaint says: The drawing will be saved (instead off printing).
I have seen that the drawing not really is saved.
Command line is still empty, no any message.
When i stop with Tuxpaint the command line is still empty.

Re: [Bug 289425] Re: TuxPaint does not print

2008-10-27 Thread Jules
Yes, i am able to print in other applications.

The next things are happens in tuxpaint:
(Because it is a dutch (NL) version i will translate the snapshots)
see snapshot 1:
"De tekening nu afdrukken? (Do you want to print the drawing now?)
press: "Ja" (yes) then see snapshot 2:
"De tekening is bewaard" (The drawing is saved).
If you are pressing "ok", noting happends. No print at all.

Yes, nothing is actually saved in the print function, and nothing is
printed.
In the save function: the drawing will normal be saved.

[Bug 380033] [NEW] Unexpected system freeze

2009-05-24 Thread Jules
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu Studio 9.0.4
It's amazing and great!
But complete system freeze occure whenever i using synaptic or a web-browser.

In synaptic, if it's a short install it's fine, but every longer
downloading crash. There is a little time (maybe waiting some kind of
timeout) while the system freeze, but it happen in short time even if i
force the synaptic to close. Sometime after freeze it seems the problem
is the input devices somehow cut. Because no mouse or keyboard works,
but the CPU showing applet in gnome still works some time. So maybe it's
not a complete freeze just cutting the input sources.

Using firefox sometimes the same freeze happen. I try to report this bug
second time with the browser.

Yes, nothing is actually saved in the print function, and nothing is
printed.
In the save function: the drawing will normal be saved.

Thanks,
Jules

Yes, nothing is actually saved in the print function, and nothing is
printed.
In the save function: the drawing will normal be saved.

2008-10-27 Thread Jules
Yes, i am able to print in other applications.

The next things are happens in tuxpaint:
(Because it is a dutch (NL) version i will translate the snapshots)
see snapshot 1:
"De tekening nu afdrukken? (Do you want to print the drawing now?)
press: "Ja" (yes) then see snapshot 2:
"De tekening is bewaard" (The drawing is saved).
If you are pressing "ok", noting happends. No print at all.

Jules

[Bug 380033] [NEW] Unexpected system freeze

2009-05-24 Thread Jules
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu Studio 9.0.4
It's amazing and great!
But complete system freeze occure whenever i using synaptic or a web-browser.

In synaptic, if it's a short install it's fine, but every longer
downloading crash. There is a little time (maybe waiting some kind of
timeout) while the system freeze, but it happen in short time even if i
force the synaptic to close. Sometime after freeze it seems the problem
is the input devices somehow cut. Because no mouse or keyboard works,
but the CPU showing applet in gnome still works some time. So maybe it's
not a complete freeze just cutting the input sources.

Using firefox sometimes the same freeze happen. I try to report this bug
second time with the browser.

[Bug 66556] Non-local IPv4 communication disabled

2006-10-17 Thread Jules Colding
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: liborbit2

This bug:

http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=354950

is still present in ORBit2 as distributed by Edgy.

[Bug 66560] --onlytop does not work

2006-10-17 Thread Jules Colding
Public bug reported:

orbit-idl-2 has an option "--onlytop" that enables it to to produce
correct output when compiling IDL files that #include's other IDL files.
Packages such as evolution-brutus (http://www.omesc.com/) does this.

The "--onlytop" option does not work when using libIDL and ORBit2 as
distributed to Edgy users by Synaptic. Strangely enough, when using apt-
get to retrieve the source and installing from source, it works. So I
honestly can't tell exactly where the bug is. It is not a bug in the
source of libIDL or ORBit2 but somehow related to the packaging.

Best regards,
  jules

[Bug 66556] Re: Non-local IPv4 communication disabled

2006-12-19 Thread Jules Colding
Yes. The edgy source still have this bug. The upstream fix was:

http://cvs.gnome.org/viewcvs/ORBit2/linc2/src/linc-
connection.c?r1=1.116&r2=1.117

The current cvs HEAD is way better than 2.14.3. I'll recommend an update
to ORBit2 cvs HEAD.
