[Bug 1353379] Re: VoiceMail notification pretends there are 255 messages. It is not true there are only 2
As said, commercial networks do not support this feature around here. Voice mail message notification comes as regular sms message here. But you can trust that simulation works correctly. It has been used with several enough phones. Message going straight to the sim is a valid case. And as said, it looks like that 255 is coming from using the card in different phone that updates the SIM differently. If that is wanted to be fixed I think easiest and quickest solution is stop reading file from the SIM. If we wish, we could enhance that solution by reading the value from messages. Third option is not to read the value before new voice mail message. However, in my opinion this is a trivial case. After user checks the voice mails from network network should send new message that should update the count correctly. Problem with card that has been moved from one phone to another should therefore be shortlived. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1353379 Title: VoiceMail notification pretends there are 255 messages. [Bug 1371032] Re: Cannot send MMS from "Yoigo"
I think I can reproduce this here. What I'm seeing here seems to be related to PIN locking. I put PIN locked SIM from one operator to slot 1 and not locked SIM from another operator to slot 2. I reboot the phone and run list-contexts. I see contexts set for slot2. I disable the PIN lock for slot1 and contexts change to settings of slot1. Contexts are not active however and running enable-gprs test script or activate- context scripts does not help. If I run the same case with SIM in slot 1 not locked, internet context is active as it should right when list- contexts is firstly run and activating the mms context works. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1371032 Title: Cannot send MMS from "Yoigo" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ofono/+bug/1371032/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1323837] Re: Sim toolkit is not available on UT
There was some discussion if we could hack our way around this using some test script or something. I'm afraid it is not possible to send SAT command to SIM from ofono without overall working SAT support in phone. I'm not familiar with roaming enabling feature described but I've been doing lot ot SAT. I suspect that when it works it works most likely like this: - At startup modem tells to SIM card that it supports set up menu by sending terminal profile to card. - Card sends set up menu SAT command to the phone which triggers the drawing of the operator menu to UI. - User selects request that enables the roaming. Based on selection phone triggers menu selection SAT command to card. Now, I can only guess what card does at this point: Normally I would say that most likely card orders the phone to send sms to the operator using send sms SAT command. (Send USSD would not work, because it is apparently aimed to work in a roaming network.) Then the operator would send update request to the card via SMS PP Data Download or some other update mechanism which would enable feature user is requesting. However, since the network listing shows that phone is forbidden from the roaming network phone should not be able to send message. I think only thing that can happen is that menu selection directly updates some value in the card. I don't know if the Krillin is giving the terminal profile to the card. (Mako does, I've seen the SAT messages in traces). If the phone does not give the terminal profile to the card, there is nothing we can do. Card won't sent the setup menu command and it will ignore menu selection command we would send. At the moment ubuntu-touch ofono does not support the forwarding the command to client but if it would, we could capture the set up menu request with test-stk-menu test script and send menu selection request from there. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1323837 Title: Sim toolkit is not available on UT To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ofono/+bug/1323837/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1353379] Re: VoiceMail notification pretends there are 255 messages. It is not true there are only 2
How to reproduce case: - Put your SIM card to Iphone Iphone 4. - Send voice mail message to the phone with SIM. - Move card to ubuntu-touch phone. - MessageCount in voicemail interface is 255. If I check number of voice mail messages waiting in elementary file EF_MWIS in SIM by Aspects Spy I see value b when after receiving the messages by Mako or old Nokia phone I see 0001b. I think this is some sort of bug with certain Qualcomm modems ( Originator reported that his reference phone was about year and half old Sony Xperia with unspecified model number ). Ofono is not doing the writing, modem is doing that, so we cannot change that. As Alfonso correctly pointed out in our telco, Ofono not notifying the client in run-time if voice mail message is stored directly to SIM is a separate issue and fixing that would not fix reported problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1353379 Title: VoiceMail notification pretends there are 255 messages. [Bug 1353379] Re: VoiceMail notification pretends there are 255 messages. It is not true there are only 2
So what I think is happening here is that voice call notification messages are stored to SIM ( as they should in my opinion, see ETSI TS TS 123 038) and not really read ever. [Bug 1362707] Re: GPRS not activated for Swisscom - Attached=0
Context settings should not matter here. As correctly pointed out Attached state is set by data registration state. Context settings will matter only after receiving the attached state and they cannot impact to Attached state. Because of this I think output of list-modems or list- context will propably not clarify the issue. I think we need output of /android/system/bin logcat - b radio here. (Just run the command in device after logging to network. You don't need to run it simultaneously, logcat stores certain amount of data). Some speculations: - Roaming Allowed setting seems to denying the attached state. Even though list-modems shows that voice registration status is not roaming, that might not necessarily be the case with data registration status. However, voice registration status should override the data registration status in ofono_gprs_status_notify of src/gprs.c. If moving between networks, there is possibility of mix-up if indications come in unexpected order. - Handover issues between networks. I've seen traces where data registration status comes quite much later than voice call registration status when moving from one network to another when crossing border for example. Btw, as said, this should not matter, but apparently there were some confusion about where to find settings for the SWISSCOM. I think these are the correct ones. http://www.swisscom.ch/en/residential/help/loesung/server-settings- mobile.html This page indicates that data might work without proxy setting too. http://www.unlockit.co.nz/mobilesettings/settings.php?id=30 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1362707 Title: GPRS not activated for Swisscom - Attached=0 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ofono/+bug/1362707/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1362068] Re: setting ConnectionContext MessageCenter or MessageProxy always returns "invalid parameters"
Sorry I wrote down wrong line number. It should have been 1231. Fix proposal can be found from https://github.com/jkangas/ofono-1/commit/d0cc0d4723f550bd0fefbadd64a220b938af6695 When you set the property using for example test case set-context- property you call method context interface method SetProperty, which is mapped to method pri_set_property in gprs.c GDBusMethodTable context_methods. I added some additional traces as following to my proposed fix: DBG("JUSSI LOGS: ctx->type is %d.", ctx->type) if (ctx->type == OFONO_GPRS_CONTEXT_TYPE_ANY || ctx->type == OFONO_GPRS_CONTEXT_TYPE_WAP || ctx->type == OFONO_GPRS_CONTEXT_TYPE_IMS) { DBG("JUSSI LOGS: Calling invalid args.") return __ofono_error_invalid_args(msg); } Now, my context listing gives this value for context 2 [ /ril_0/context2 ] IPv6.Settings = { } Password = Active = 0 Type = wap Settings = { } Username = Protocol = ip AccessPointName = mms Name = PALLO If I run this: set-context-property 1 MessageCenter KOEPALLO I get response "Invalid arguments in method call" as expected and traces show JUSSI LOGS: ctx->type is 3. JUSSI LOGS: Calling invalid args. Next if I change the type to mms and try to set the MessageCenter like this set-context-property 1 Type mms set-context-property 1 MessageCenter KOEPALLO I get no error from the scripts and extra logs are just JUSSI LOGS: ctx->type is 2. Now, if I add same extra traces to original 7f3955122af8b0349fb7d3f2db8abd754459d146 fix like this: DBG("JUSSI LOGS: ctx->type is %d.", ctx->type); if (ctx->type != OFONO_GPRS_CONTEXT_TYPE_MMS || ctx->type != OFONO_GPRS_CONTEXT_TYPE_INTERNET) { DBG("JUSSI LOGS: Calling invalid args."); return __ofono_error_invalid_args(msg); } And do the same steps, I get JUSSI LOGS: ctx->type is 3. JUSSI LOGS: Calling invalid args to first attempt and later one to the second. JUSSI LOGS: ctx->type is 2. JUSSI LOGS: Calling invalid args. I think this proves the issue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1362068 Title: setting ConnectionContext MessageCenter or MessageProxy always returns "invalid parameters" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ofono/+bug/1362068/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1362068] Re: setting ConnectionContext MessageCenter or MessageProxy always returns "invalid parameters"
This seems to be caused by commit 7f3955122af8b0349fb7d3f2db8abd754459d146: src: allow MessageCenter/Proxy for TYPE_INTERNET. "Invalid arguments" is returned by change introduced in line 2921 in the commit. I recommed changing the check as follows: if (ctx->type == OFONO_GPRS_CONTEXT_TYPE_ANY || ctx->type == OFONO_GPRS_CONTEXT_TYPE_WAP || ctx->type == OFONO_GPRS_CONTEXT_TYPE_IMS) return __ofono_error_invalid_args(msg); That seems to fix the problem.

[Bug 1227199] Re: Ubuntu phone disconnects immediately if called phone is busy & not voicemail enabled
I investigated this with 208 and tried to simulate error situation with different hacks in ofono. I was suspecting that phenomena might be related to how fast call status events are coming or if some events are missing. I made such hack where call was disconnected right after it went to alerting state ( state was articially changed to disconnected state too ). Turns out that these events have nothing to do with if the alerting tone is played or not. Even if the call was disconnected {VoiceCall} [/ril_0/voicecall01] DisconnectReason remote {VoiceCall} [/ril_0/voicecall01] State = disconnected Phone kept playing the busy tone. If this bug is related to 1341453 I think it should happen in other situations too and not just when calling to busy phone. However, proposed fix for 1341453 would propably solve this too. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1227199 Title: Ubuntu phone disconnects immediately if called phone is busy & not voicemail enabled To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ofono/+bug/1227199/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
