Still happens on xubuntu 20.04. Unfortunately, vim-gtk2 isn't around
anymore, so the workaround is invalid.

Emily:  At what point does firefox stop responding?  There is a
flashplayer bug related to uploading that you might be running into.
The 'basic uploader' should work fine.

J. Scott:  How far does it get?  Where does it loop?  Do you have a
32bit Intrepid Ibex box to try on?
