[Bug 198694] Re: apport: Explain how to send crash reports that belong to root
Daniel, your instructions do not work for me since firefox complains about another firefox process being run that is not responding: $ su-to-root -X -c apport-cli --file-bug --pid 1 *** Collecting problem information [...] Box popping up -- apport: Explain how to send crash reports that belong to root https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/198694 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 202502] Re: apport should use whichever browser is open rather than using preferred browser
Yeah, you might be right. I just tried to reproduce the effect but I haven't found a reliable way to make an application crash in a way that a crash report is written (by itself that's a good thing *sight*). I tried so send some signals that trigger core dumps, but they left no crash reports in /var/crash. So I tried apport-cli --file-bug on some running program and it works as expected when run as my unprivileged user but it fails to open a web browser tab/window when being run as root. This seems closely related to bug #198694, so I decided to hijack that bug instead of opening a new one. I can not recall if I was running apport-cli as root or not when I wrote the above comment, but I think / hope that I have only done that if I was asked to do so by apport-cli. -- apport should use whichever browser is open rather than using preferred browser https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/202502 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 216694] Re: Cannot drag videos into playlists
Same here (running e17, but I don't think that matters at all). And I just checked, Miro 1.2.3 build from source doesn't suffer from this regression. -- Cannot drag videos into playlists https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/216694 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Agreed. [Bug 138746] Re: CalDAV calenders do not work
Uh oh, calendar server? I am using apache/2.2.4 with its webdav module. If there is a reason why a plain apache is not enough for evolution as a backend (it is for Sunbird, KOrganizer and iCal), it is not mentioned in evolutions online help. I also noticed that the evolutions help page on caldav refers to the hula project, but the project seems to be gone (no one answers on http://www.hula-project.org/). -- CalDAV calenders do not work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/138746 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
