[Bug 1891773] Re: kcompactd0 and btrfs-transaction keep deadlocking with each other
I had the problem with Ubuntu 18.04 for months. It didn't occur after that I switched to HWE kernels. No problem since the migration to Ubuntu 20.04. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1891773 Title: kcompactd0 and btrfs-transaction keep deadlocking with each other To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1891773/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1876219] Re: iris driver for old cpu
Same problem here (Ubuntu 20.04, i915 driver, Skylake Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6500U CPU @ 2.50GHz ) : - glxgears and vlc both give a black window - /usr/bin/kcmshell5 kcm_networkmanagementreturns a segfault. 'export MESA_LOADER_DRIVER_OVERRIDE=i965' seems to solve all this. [Bug 1448076] Re: Wrong keyboard settings.
Same problem on 15.10 with another Logitech Unifying USB French keyboard seen as a US keyboard. I must use it as a US kb for my password and in the terminal (lxterminal and konsole), firefox, and so on. But this is more complicated : if I plug another Logitech USB classical keyboard (with cord) at the same time, it gets correctly recognized as French (password and so on). This gets weird : once I use the classical keyboard, the cordless one is seen as French until I log off! I have reproduced this twice. In case it helps: brand new 15.10, motherboard is Asus Z-170A, Skylake proc. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1448076 Title: Wrong keyboard settings. Re: [Bug 380011] Re: KDE translations: French words sameas English are overriden by anotherlanguage
Hi, A lot of people seemed to want to earn cheap Karma by translating all the upstream English strings (C) into en_US (which is identical). This causes language-pack-*-en to be very large OK. Does that mean that someone with a setup with en_GB / fr will see everything in French? Yes, it will, I've just tried. Worse, a setup with en_GB / en_US / fr / de is fully French too (with some German :-) I suppose few people would try that, given that everything is supposed to be translated into English from the beginning, but this is definitely a bug. I would happy if the stripping was suppressed for non-English locales for Karmic. It won't cost many bytes in the French archives, and I doubt other languages have so many common words with English as French. -- Christophe Courtois http://www.courtois.cc/ -- KDE translations: French words same as English are overriden by another language https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/380011 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 380011] [NEW] KDE translations: French words same as English are overriden by another language
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: language-pack-kde-fr-base * Config : Kubuntu 9.04 * Symptoms : - Everything is fine when the languages are set to FR / EN : all is correcty translated into French. - When setting the languages as FR / DE / EN in KDE (French first), a few German words appear where French was correct before! - At second sight, only French words identical to English words are set to German!! I'll take kmail as an example although the problem is in many places : Message (same word in French as in English) becomes Nachricht Urgent becomes Dringend Options becomes Optionen * Some clues The translation is in kmail.mo, which is found in package language-pack-kde-fr-base (version 1:9.04+20090413.1 ). This .mo does NOT contain the French translations of theses words (so it is logical that German appears)! The source kmail.po exists in the SOURCE packages of - language-pack-kde-fr-base (seems to come from Launchpad, and does NOT contain the problematic words) - kde-l10n-fr (seems to come from upstream, and contains the words identical in French and English). I'll add: - Same problem found with French/Chinese/English setup - I can't test anymore, but I'd bet the problem was there in KDE 3.5 in ubuntu 8.04 (random German words here and there) - So this does not seem to be a problem of coherence between Launchpad and upstream, but more internally of Ubuntu. - Problem is confirmed by the kde-fr translation team, but the problem does not lie in KDE itself... Thanx! ** Affects: language-pack-kde-fr-base (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- KDE translations: French words same as English are overriden by another language https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/380011 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
