Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-session On log in, desktop tries to load but then returns to the log in screen again. I usually have to solve this with failsafe gnome. I log in and then delete the .gnome2 and .gnome2_private folders. And this temporarily solves the problem because it happens on the next log in. The problem seemed to be the device being busy or unavailable.
