problems and I am able to be productive using my Wacom Pro and

2014-01-09 Thread Kayosiii
ok that works for me except that. I am losing a lot of OpenGL
performance going from 3.12 to 3.13 - my Unigine test scene is ~21fps in
the former and ~4fps in the later. Short story I still can't work
without rebooting.

Ok I can confirm that the updated kernel works. However I can't use it
as I depend quite heavily on the nVidia binary drivers to get work done.

[Bug 1234814] [NEW] automute when plugging in headphones mutes wrong channel

2013-10-03 Thread Kayosiii
Public bug reported:

I am running kubuntu 13.10 on a hp 8760w laptop
lspci identifies the soundcard as
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family
High Definition Audio Controller (rev 04)

plugging in headphones causes the Master channel to drop to zero rather
than the PCM channel, also when a new sound source connects to pulse-
audio the pcm and master volumes switch. (I am using the kde mixer
applet - to check the channels)

[Bug 1234811] [NEW] support for Intuos pro series

2013-10-03 Thread Kayosiii
Public bug reported:

It looks like the patches are in the linux wacom project. It would be nice to
have support for these tablets before saucy ships.
I bought one today to replace my broken wacom intuos 5.

instructions on how to build these myself would also be acceptable.

[Bug 532137] Re: Wacom Intuos2 tablet hotplug only works once after booting

2012-09-12 Thread Kayosiii
Hotplug was working for me when I installed precise but now I have the
same issue (some update broke things for me)- I only get the tablet if
it is plugged in when I boot. I tried with a work mates Intuos 3 and it
hotplugs just fine. One more thing I noticed though it could have been
coincidence that I had better luck with the usb2 ports on my laptop than
the usb 3 ports).

[Bug 293120] Re: LibFreeBoB ERR: Dropped packets on connection

2008-11-17 Thread Kayosiii
Can confirm libfreebob is dropping packets in Intrepid - hardy was just
fine - but Intrepid was basically unusable (presonus firepod - TI
ieee1394 chipset) I tried using the most recent kernel from hardy which
helped a little but the problem was solved for me by replacing
libfreebob with the latest libffado beta EIther way this bug is show
stopper as far as serious firewire based audio production goes on Ubuntu
Intrepid
