I also have this bug. Both on Ubuntu (gnome) and Ubuntu Mate. I even posted it on Ubuntu Mate's community forum, they just instruct me to delete the keys via terminal. No solution or reason why it doesn't work on the GUI part. And checking on this report, bug exist since January 2017? Will this get even fixed? [Bug 1797257] [NEW] remove authentication keys from software-properties-gtk is not working
Public bug reported: Removing authentication keys from Software & Updates is not working. It asked for a password when trying to remove a key, then nothing happens. Tried this on both Ubuntu (gnome) and Ubuntu-Mate and its not working on both distros or DE. It however work from the terminal with "sudo apt-key del" without a problem. Its just that it doesn't work from the GUI.
