[Bug 1238326] Re: inkscape crashes on launch
I'm very sorry but the computer that had this issue has since had the backlight die on the LCD. I was never able to solve my issue with inkscape. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1238326 Title: inkscape crashes on launch To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/1238326/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1238326] [NEW] inkscape crashes on launch
Public bug reported: Running Lubuntu 13.04 i386 on a Dell Latitude D620. The program opens and immediately locks up and the process must be killed. I have tried reinstalling as well as installing the trunk version from the PPA and the behavior is persistent. inkscape-trunk: Installed: 1:0.48+devel+12676+44~ubuntu13.04.1 Candidate: 1:0.48+devel+12676+44~ubuntu13.04.1 Version table: *** 1:0.48+devel+12676+44~ubuntu13.04.1 0 500 http://ppa.launchpad.net/inkscape.dev/trunk/ubuntu/ raring/main i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: inkscape (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "Screenshot" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1238326/+attachment/3873291/+files/2013-10-10-193845_1440x900_scrot.jpg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1238326 Title: inkscape crashes on launch To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/inkscape/+bug/1238326/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 311470] Re: stalls at scanning devices on dell mini remix
I would really like to help fill the blank spots in my initial bug report but I need to know what information is required to make this a complete report. Is there anyone else who has this problem? -- stalls at scanning devices on dell mini remix https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/311470 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 311470] Re: stalls at scanning devices on dell mini remix
I have an update on this. After pursuing the problem on the ubuntu forums, I found out that it will work after waiting for several minutes. For me it took just under 10 but then it loaded properly. I would still consider this a problem however because my ubuntu desktop only takes a few seconds to scan the partitions. -- stalls at scanning devices on dell mini remix https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/311470 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 311470] [NEW] stalls at scanning devices on dell mini remix
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gparted When running gparted on the dell mini version of ubuntu 8.04 lts, the program stalls on "Scanning Devices" and will not proceed further. I am not aware of any workaround. ** Affects: gparted (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- stalls at scanning devices on dell mini remix https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/311470 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
Re: [Bug 311470] Re: stalls at scanning devices on dell mini remix
Thank you so much for responding so quickly. I tried what you suggested on both the hard drive and an sd card and gparted is able to load. When it reads the device it is unable to determine what the device is or even if it is partitioned (it reads unknown device and shows it as being all unallocated space). I have never filed a bug report before so I am sorry about it being a bit vague. If there is any more specific information I can include please let me know. What I really want to do is add swap space because dell did not configure any. > Thanks for filing the bug report, but there isn't enough info to > diagnose/fix your problem.
