[Bug 1028151] Re: Samsung Laptops brightness control issue (heavy flickering)
As of AUGUST 2012 and after 6 months, this is still a bug and has not been patched. This means that Ubuntu 12.04 FAILS on the Samsung NC10, an extremely popular netbook which has millions of users. If Ubuntu want non-technical users to switch to their operating system then show-stopping fatal bugs like this need to be patched. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1028151 Title: Samsung Laptops brightness control issue (heavy flickering) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/1028151/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 980917] Re: Failed to create pty - disabling logging for job
The behaviour seems wrong to me - I believe it needs to be changed so that it follows the previous expected (and acceptable) model. As a bit of a metaphor, if Toyota released a new car but all the new cars had a red warning light on them and Toyota's fix was You all have to press a button in the boot and cover the warning light with tape there would be an uproar. Really, I think this needs to be fixed at the system end rather than hundreds of thousands of fixes being applied at the user end. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/980917 Title: Failed to create pty - disabling logging for job To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/upstart/+bug/980917/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
