[Bug 1852794] Re: Dell PowerEdge R630 won't boot with 4.4.0-168.197 and later

2019-11-15 Thread Khaled El Mously
Thanks for the info @Björn

I have a couple of initial questions

1) When you say "One of our Dell R630 machines in our CI environment
won't boot with the 4.4.0-168.197 kernel in xenial." , does this mean
that you have other Dell R360 machines that *do* boot with the new
xenial kernels?

2) Can you clarify what you mean by "I also tried installing xenial on
the machine, and the same happens with grub. No output in the console
after selecting the kernel in the grub menu, it just reboots." ? How is
"installing xenial" different from what you were doing prior to that? Is
it a matter of booting from a live-usb vs booting from PXE ? If that's
the case, do you know what kernel this xenial image was using? Did the
live instance come up at all?

I think the easiest thing would be to try to bisect to find the offending
commit. Attempting to boot the 4.4.0-167.196 kernel is a good idea, to help us
know where to start bisection.

Thanks

[Bug 1795292] Re: ELAN469D touch pad not working

2019-11-06 Thread Khaled El Mously
>From the bug history, this looks like an old bug that was fixed in
Ubuntu (Bionic or cosmic?) a while ago, then upstreamed to linux-stable,
then brought back to disco and eoan.

The bug itself was not opened against eoan or disco, and so I don't
think re-verification is needed on those 2 series.

Therefore, I will mark the bug as "verification-done" for D and E.

[Bug 1844155] Re: arm64: sigaltstack fails with MINSIGSTKSZ for 32-bit processes

2019-11-06 Thread Khaled El Mously
Thanks @adconrad

This is the only outstanding issue for Xenial. I think we can wait
another day or so before we have to make a final decision. I'll wait
until tomorrow and then mark it as verified if you haven't already done
so by then.

[Bug 1850486] Re: eoan/linux: 5.3.0-21.22 -proposed tracker

2019-11-05 Thread Khaled El Mously
There are 14 tests that show results as MISS, when in fact the test did
run.

Out of those tests, the ones that are expected to pass did in fact pass
and the ones that were expected to fail did in fact fail. It's not clear
to me why results are showing as MISS.

Manually changing automated testing status to "fix released".
