[Bug 417288] [NEW] pwd man and info pages do not document the -P option

2009-08-22 Thread KimStebel
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: coreutils

I can find -P neither in the man page nor in the info page of coreutils,
but it should be in both. With this option pwd resolves symlinks before
printing the path, which is very useful.

[Bug 412668] [NEW] selected text in url bar has foreground and background color reversed

2009-08-12 Thread KimStebel
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

This might be related to
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox-3.0/+bug/192606 but it
is not a duplicate. Firefox now uses the gnome colors for selected text
in the url bar, but in my case it uses blue text on white background
where it should use white text on blue background. Selected text on
websites is displayed correctly.

ProblemType: Bug

[Bug 403379] [NEW] mouse sensitivity/acceleration cannot be set low enough

2009-07-23 Thread KimStebel
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

What I expect to happen: Mouse pointer moves very slowly when I move the mouse
slowly and can be positioned precisely. It can be moved by just one pixel if
the mouse is moved carefully.
What actually happens: Mouse pointer never moves too fast, making it difficult
to mark text in a low font size or using a graphics program.
This problem did not occur with my previous mouse, which had a lower
resolution. I think resolution should be adjustable.

I'm using jaunty and gnome-control-center version 1:2.26.0-0ubuntu3

[Bug 257946] [NEW] eclipse makes jvm crash on startup

2008-08-14 Thread KimStebel
Public bug reported:

Eclipse crashes the jvm right on startup when it tries to load the workspace.
If i specify a different workspace with -data it works fine.

I initially thought this was the same or related to #174759 but since
this one is now fixed and my problem persists it cleaarly isn't.

[Bug 174759] Re: Eclipse crashes due to jvm crash

2008-08-09 Thread KimStebel
I'm not sure wether this is the same bug or something else, since my eclipse
crashes at startup when trying to load the workspace. the error message is the
same though. if i specify a different workspace with -data it works fine.
the proposed workaround (using
-XX:CompileCommand=exclude,org/eclipse/core/internal/dtree/DataTreeNode,forwardDeltaWith)
doesn't work for me, neither does -Xint.
I tried build 1.6.0_0-b11 from hardy-proposed - no difference.
Some more data:

eclipse 3.3.2

java version "1.6.0_0"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_0-b11)
OpenJDK Server VM (build 1.6.0_0-b11, mixed mode)

CompilerOracle: exclude
org/eclipse/core/internal/dtree/DataTreeNode.forwardDeltaWith
